The Gold Coast Gazzas will be the biggest team on the coast within 15 years, this I am pretty sure of. The code is growing rapidly, kids are kicking footballs nowadays rather than passing them (they are FOOTballs afterall). To be honest though it doesn't bother me if they fail or not as I won't be switching teams because I'll be a Lion for life. This is passion, I'm too emotionally invested in the Lions and could never support any other club, though it will be nice to see a game in SEQ every week, whether I'm still living here or not.

How could the "Gazzas" be biggest sporting team in 15 years if the biggest crowd at carrara (excluding titans, bears and kangaroos games) was an rugby league game between North Queensland and Canterbury-Bankstown at 21, 102 meanwhile the best AFL got was 11174 with a match between Richmond and Adelaide?

Look dude, there is more to the Far North than just Cairns you know, even then Cairns is not AFL territory and if it was , why aren't they pushing for inclusion in the AFLQLD state league like the NT?

Other than Cairns, the Far north is deep into rugby league territory.
