Riewoldt is out for 8-12 weeks, everyone has him, everyone will lose a trade?
Who to trade in for Roo?
The Options:
Brown
Pavlich
Chapman
Goodes
O'Keefe
Davis
Didak

Who are you trading in for Riewoldt?
I'm going for Brown, personally.

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

ATM for me its Didak but will see wat happens with price changes and stuff

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

Brown will probably be the most popular choice.

But i'm not so sure. My fwd line has been underperforming badly as it is. Riewoldt and O'Keefe are my only consistent performers. Ballantyne has been good, Franklin should be ok too.... but IMO, there isn't really all that much of a selection

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

Perhaps might consider waiting for a premium to drop in price and cover off the bench until a good deal shows up, such as Goodes or Pavlich.

Dont have brown but he will rise in price and may not be a great buy at the top end price.

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

i already have ROK so probably brown, but i guess it depends on how everyone goes this round. for all we know he'll snap his ACL tomorrow

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

Leaning towards Goodes over Brown now having thought about it. I think all those who bought Brown made the wrong choice, he's going to be getting average scores eventually, and you won't be able to capatalize on his first two scores, which is a waste imo.

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

No way he is out for 8-12 weeks.

One month max.

If it's torn off the bone 8 - 12 sounds about right.

I don't think I'll rush into a trade though, I may wait and see if a premium drops before picking one up. Leaning towards Brown or ROK though.

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

As he scored 2 x 160s he may not even reduce in price...

BE was 37 I think so he'll only drop a tiny bit. No real damage to anyone apart from burning a trade.

A mate of mine was bragging how good his team looked after he traded Riewoldt in today. Now that would hurt!

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

I thought for a second keeping him until he comes back, but then I realised that's crazy.

Personally, Goodesy.

I might keep him LOL... but my team set-up is a bit different to most people, so have to crunch the numbers in terms of trades and points...

If i get rid of Roo it will be Roo to Rockliff... otherwise I'll sit him on the bench..

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

One man that has slipped under the radar completely: Lance 'Buddy' Franklin.

We all know what this guy is capable of, and this is the perfect excuse.

Thoughts?

Not the most consistant, and probably won't be a good replacement for Roo.

Re: Who to trade for Roo?

A lot of speculation going on. Could realistically be anywhere from a few weeks to half the season.
Feeling a lot better about not having him now...

Probably not but look at it this way, the money you bank from making that trade could be used on a more consistent player elsewhere.

I already have Ryan O'Keefe and traded in Jonathon Brown this week. I'm inclined to get either Higgins or Chapman, but even if Riewoldt is out for 4 weeks (unlikely in my opinion) I'm still trading him. That 25 will reduce his price for his first two games back so you'll be able to pick him up cheaply again no matter what even if he fires.

Buster Gonad (last years No.1 overall) did the same thing with Ablett last year when he was out for 3 weeks and traded him for Sewell. That tactic paid dividends as Sewell fired and Ablett dropped in price so there is no doubt that I will trade Riewoldt this week based on the above reasons.
