Captain's Address

A win is a win and this was one of the strangest games I've seen. Never really threatened but never really willing to put our feet on their throats. NTRabbit was sensational as a crumbing forward and a six goal haul great reward for effort and really, the match winner. I have to give full credit to the #newstackedsix who were completely miserly and to a man won every contest. Meanwhile GreyCrow, nahnah and Marlowe were tackling machines. In short, this was a must win game won by a team that knew it.

Posting wise, let's be fair, it was an all round disaster. Less than 100 posts combined. Hopefully we can bring more next week against the Bombers. There's generally a fair bit of banter between the two clubs and this week we have the chance to solidify and perhaps confirm our finals spot and at the same time could push them out of the 8.

I took some time off big footy because some of the cretins in all the pages was sufficient to do my head in. Almost made me crazy enough to put Ginger in a curry, and I LOVE that cat. Commented on it and got my post deleted.

Another big win and let's be honest it was done by quarter time running out to a 45 point lead thanks to a big goal burst by Ulahoopski and myself. The rest of the game was steady as she goes despite a small Bombers burst but in the end we doubled them to keep some distance on the teams directly below us. Got to single out Ulahoopski for another incredible performance on the flank and Marlowe was simply sublime with 12 tackles making sure the Royals mids got first touch on the ball. Defensively our stackedsix were again brilliant, turning the screws on all of the Bombers forward line.

Posting wise, while we got defeated against a team that likes a post, we lifted our game more than doubling last week and we even saw a late return for brahj, who we hope will be up for a week against his former side the Hawks. We have a big history with the Hawks sharing many players so hopefully we'll see another bumper week. Two games left and neither can be a miss if we want to chase our second minor premiership in a row.

Captain's Address

Another really solid win and one we were able to jump out on, withstand a third quarter charge and in the end turn into a little bit of a blowout. Every line is working brilliantly at the moment, defensively we worked tirelessly (they only had four goalscorers). The mids were great again with spookism, Marlowe, ShaunDuggan and grumbleguts taking advantage of GreyCrow's dominance. Our S30 success strategy of having one of our half forwards play as an extra mid is being repeated with Ulahoopski again in killer form and the full forward kicked 9, which is alright.

We had a bit of a drop in posting but still had 13 pop up for the week. This week we have the Rats in the last round of the season before finals and hopefully we can put up a big show. We still have top spot in our sights, if we win. Our percentage is good enough to catch the Gumbies if they lose and it's important to keep the home final double chance because the Warriors and Demons are breathing down our necks.
