I agree. We need to move on. He can't do much more.

Both your and peejays comments highlight why i hate reading these forums some times. If i vox popped a guy on a donkey in the middle of Azerbaijan he would give me a better comment on the matter than you two have delivered.

My comment is not my opinion, i would love him to play on. Lets just say i stand by what i say.

You know the problem with these public forums is that sometimes it is not to wise to give out all the info you have.

Probably why the guy on the donkey got his head shot off.

Out: Bowden, Johnson, Simmonds

Keep: Richo to go on for 300 games, Cousins and Brown

Poor old Joel has fast become a liability

Agree you cant just cut all 6, we still need some experience next year to bring the younger boys up. Also we need to get rid of King, JON, Hughes etc asap , we cant just turn over 9-11 players in one year, max of about 7 i think.

Decisions on this topic shouldn't be made until round 15-16..

But at the moment, I would agree with M4M.:thumbsu:

We will only turn over bout 7-8 players. Therefore, 3 over 30's and then 3-4 other players.

i agree, you cant predict how well the players will preform in the next 10 rounds or so.
but in order for the players that are over 30 to stay at least another year at the club the need to pull out some solid consistant performances.
At about round 15-16 we need to be asking ourselves which players are going to help us win a Premiership ????????
even though at this point of time is looks soooo far away

Those who like the idea of Butcher coming to Richmond should not get excited just yet.

I may be wrong but I believe Melbourne get the first two picks this year if they win less than 4 games.

Can anyone confirm this?

He will be pick one or two going by reports at this early stage of the year.

If they win less than 5 they get a priority pick. If they win <5 but are above us on the ladder we will probably get Butcher with the 2nd pick.

richo and cousins should be the only ones retained. both on the vet. list

browny simmo bowden johnson should retire , which would create at least 1.5m in the salary cap for as to case a big fish lol

Sorry but that would require trading early picks and youth. Not and option at this stage. The only big fish's worth getting are elite mid's like Judd, or Ablett. Or Roughie or Franklin.

From an outsiders view, I think Richmond should stick with Richo and Cuz because these are the boys that display consistent leadership.

The rest should go. N.Brown will be an interesting one. But Richmond have to move forward.

Richmond should be looking at attaining as many draft picks as possible, and taking an opposite approach to what they have done in past seasons. Draft as much youth as possible and build around the likes of Cotchin, Foley, Lids, Coughlan, et al. There's no doubt that a core is there, that's for sure.
