You would think that Chinese made EV’s (not my thing, yet) such as BYD’s will flood our market now as they will become less affordable in the US - they will need to be sold somewhere. They will represent better bang for buck than the Tesla which is middle of the road in EV’s these days anyway. BYD still slightly behind in the reviews I have seen.

But cheaper. I have a friend who bought an BYD and he loves it.

No doubt that will get wound back shortly after 20th January.

And somehow I reckon Trump will make an exception for EVs with the Tesla badge when he starts introducing tariffs on goods imported from China.

It moved from California to Texas last year, due to state taxes. They are talking about the chips that go into the Teslas though. The Chips are manufactured overseas, the assembly plant is in Texas, along with one in Mexico I believe.

Chinese EV are currently not available in the U.S.

Tesla only moved its headquarters to Austin.

They still maintains a major engineering presence in its former Headquarters in Palo Alto in the Bay Area.

Tesla has gigafactories manufacturing cars located in Fremont, California; Sparks, Nevada; Berlin, Germany; Shanghai, China; Austin, Texas; and Buffalo, New York.

For those that want balance , he unloads on the Democrats, Harris and their failings on issues affecting voters.
But I suggest you listen to what he thinks of Trump and the circus he is conducting.

Being a heroin addict a decade is not something I look down upon him previously - shit happens, but he is one weird dude.

See his talk on the Ukraine war and how the Ukraine money gets washed back to Raytheon and other US military companies.
Even more how Ukraine have essentially agreed as part of the funding deal to sell national assets. The bread basket of Europe being owned by Blackrock.

I think Harris makes more sense than any of your Trump DEI’s .

No doubt money is being poured into military companies, absolutely nothing new there.
We could do a history lesson on that subject, but I promise that’s what happens during conflict.

There is so much contempt for honesty, integrity and the electorate in the post-truth era isn’t there?

I mean they don’t seem to make the slightest effort to pretend that their lies can’t be disproven with a minute’s research and their hypocrisy revealed just as easily.

It’s not restricted to one side of politics of course, but crikey it’s so brazen now that political discourse has been almost fatally damaged. Nothing uttered in public has substance any more. There is no longer any expectation of truth or integrity.

When that happens what’s left of democracy?
