yeah there are no guarantees 1980. But what you havent worked out is that 4 years on and the list cant play the style of footy that TW wants to play. i.e his style requires excellent foot skills and footy smarts, to be produced consistently.
His style is to move the ball down the ground without giving the opposition a chance to touch it. i.e. 80% target hitting which means 100% running into space, which means leaving gaping holes to make the space, which crucifies us when you dont have enough players with the foot skills and smarts.
He has about 4 players who are capable of producing that kind of requirement consistently. He knows that the only way he can get close to what his style demands is to buy it in, because basically, his requirements werent met by Miller and his drafting.
We have a decent list to work with. We can build a real contender with it. I can bet my bottom dollar that a new coach with a new style of play, that doesnt rely on precise foot skills, i.e what the bulldogs have now, will make a positive difference. As for your ridiculous example with Walls, come on man, Manfield, Rombotis, Elliot, Dundas??? get real now, playign style wasnt the problem there dude....shit for brains in who he wanted was.

dont give a **** how many we won, all i look at is how we play the ****ing game and we look totally disfucntional more of than not. The bottom line is this. If TW is on the ****ing level, he keeps the plan on track with recruiting youngsters and leaves the list develop as it is, and that is how he will JUDGE on how he administers his knowledge to his assistants flowing through to the players.
Go on TW, lets see if "natural" improvement in the players you have blooded and have nurtured in the 2s at Coburg will get you anymore wins that this year dude.
Dont trade the first 2 picks for ready mades, draft youngsters and then get a player that is a fringe player with the third rounder. Then we can see if your ****ing plan is a plan and if you actually have any idea on a player's capabilities.
Because dont know about anyone else, but for the last few years, you have continued to play players who for the life of me, i cant believe what you were actually watching in that ****ing box of yours. Because they were totally not of the standard required but you kept selecting them and 4 years down the track, you finally ****ing woke up to their incapablities. What happened Terry's Triangle? remember that plan? Like plans my arse.

ANd i might have missed it, but what actual draft pick, did trade for McMahon? Because if we traded anything below 50 for him then that is another WTF **** up, to add to the long list of WTF **** up draft picks, that he has overseen in his 4 years as coach.

No hating of Wallace froars, more of a piss take actually, hell we gave Danny 5 years, Wallace deserves 5 years IMO. If he fails next year then the club is intitled to not renew his contract.

a friend of a friend who knows Hutchy's cuz, told me that Hutchy has manouvered himself into the keyhole of the door, that leads to the pres's office and is waiting for the scoop as we speak. The previous rumour was a false alarm, it wasnt TW's hand on the door handle, it was Hardwick's,with the other carrying something that looked like a signed contract.
