How are the Dees the dark horse of the top 4 winning 7 of the last 8 (controversial loss too) and beat Collingwood when they were up?

Also beat Brisbane and went down to Port over there in the wet by a couple of points

Also the only team in the 8 that have proven they can actually win on the last day in September

Qualify for the finals with the minor premiership and therefore a double chance and home Qualifying Final, to play either a team we have beaten twice this year or a team we have won 7 of our last 9 against.

Tick.
Or you could say, to play a team on their home deck who you lost your last game against without their best player.

Tick.

Saints trying their best to turn September on its head. Lions lose this/a home final and it becomes very difficult.

Who knows, with the likely finals fixture there’s a possibility of a Collingwood v Carlton GF

Pies would need to beat Melb & Port
Blues would need to beat GWS, Melb, Bris

Unlikely at this stage. Collingwood have the advantage at the G, Port have been very consistent this year but still may be questionable around big finals games. Can the Lions win at the G against the Pies?
Dees I’m not so sure of

Lions v Collingwood/Melbourne GF.

Winner would be a coin flip between the 2 on the day, there is next to no seperation between the teams IMO. Port are still a chance but will need to cause a few upsets along the way.

Carlton firmly in the dark horse category if it all clicks, could see them feasting on a losing QF team (Lions included). The rest making up the numbers.

Who would they rather in the first week? GWS or Doggies?

Western Bulldogs for the "easy" win
However I think they'd want to test themselves against GWS.

Once finals start if you want to be the man you've got to beat the man
