Have to LOL at the Aints being called the worst top six team in recent memory a month out from the finals.......only to eventually finish sixth by beating nobody relevant anyway.

Cannot believe my team are in the eight this year. Like alot of others thought we would be bottom four.

Dont quite have the side to genuinely challenge but gee I'll take this season already.
You have a pretty ruthless coach who has got them playing accountable football.

Were playing for nothing. Could not rise / drop from 5th. Had good players out. No reflection of anything.
I concur.

Interestingly though, Pies have had nothing to play for for a number of weeks now having secured a home QF yet everyone, including the media, have written them off as the standout premiership contender.

It’ll be very interesting week one. Feel like whoever wins the QF will be set up to make it simply through home ground advantage. Stakes are so high for Brisbane and Port. Honestly don’t know who to pick. If Brisbane don’t do it this year I feel like they never will. Have some Port of 04 about them. Some top 2 finishes in prior years that went bust before they got it together.

Port are a genuine mystery bag. You could get a 40 point win or a 40 point loss. Have some absolute attacking weapons but feel there’s some inconsistencies there. Can’t put my finger on it.

Melbourne & Collingwood is enormous. Have to tag out Daicos. Melksham out really hurts us. The loser faces a genuine straight sets exit against potential Carlton. Think the winners of the two QF make the GF.

Given a Victorian team will possibly be there, let’s hope the umpires don’t get involved and ruin it by favouring the VFL clubs. Would actually really like to see a Brisbane or Port victory.

One thing for certain is it won’t be St Kilda, GWS or Sydney
Have to agree. Can't see any of them winning 4 in a row. Of those only GWS have beaten a side in the 4. GWS and Sydney in there because of other results going their way over the last few weeks and St. Kilda a kind draw. That being said I could see any of them causing a top 4 side to be knocked out in straight sets as a 1 off result but not 3 in a row. Can see Carlton scaring a few teams but would mean having to win an away final against either Port or Brisbane which I'd tip against.

Of the top 4 teams I'd say it's a 3 way race between Collingwood, Brisbane and Melbourne with Collingwood being slight favourites solely because Brisbane and Port have too many players that are iffy shots at goal in a close game and Melbourne being more up and down than a yo-yo.

Carlton beat Collingwood and demons at the MCG this season.
Doubt Collingwood miss that many sitters again though. Difference in that game for me was Carlton took their chances, Collingwood didn't. Whilst I expect Carlton to beat Sydney in the first week, they still rely on too few for me to win it similar to Sydney and St Kilda. Some really good role players if the stars do the heavy lifting but lack the depth all round.

Settle down mate, it has only ever happened once and it was because the Bulldogs hadn't won a flag since 1954 so the whole of Victoria and the media wanted the fairy tale to happen. The umpires got caught up in the hype and rode the momentum.

Every other Grand Final has been umpired extremely well.

You are acting like it happens all the time. Calm down.

It happened in 16 & 17. They might want to help Collingwood out this year.

Anyway, all for a non Vic premier. Feel like Melbourne are done now that Melksham has done his knee.

It's going to be like most years, having the double chance is going to see at least one team through to the GF, if not both. Port are the weakest team in the top four and nobody realistically expects St Kilda to do much.

The wild card is Carlton. They will be in Melbourne until the preliminary final at least if they make it, have just had a refresher loss and have recently beaten three of the top four. Their best is simply scintillating and their pressure game when on song is the best in the game. Brisbane at the GABBA might be a step too far though and it's the most likely barrier for them to overcome.

Either way, it going to be a very interesting Finals series.

17... lol umpires had nothing to do with it.
Richmond grinded them down and hammered them and were the far better team.

2016. Was the only umpire cheating GF.
