The race for top 4

They got a bottom 6 draw going on last years results repeat games are (1 top 6, 1 middle 6, 3 bottom 6).

Will get a much tougher draw next year.
Yes Einstein, that’s exactly how it works for ALL teams.
The way some are carrying on, you’d think the AFL made up this rule just for Collingwood.
Want our path to an easy draw?
Then step out of the finals for four years: 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021.
Finish bottom 6 in 2021.
Get an easy draw in 2022.
Have people whinge about your easy draw and laugh at them.

Collingwood easiest draw in the league this season -

Double up games: Carlton (18th), Richmond (1st), Essendon (12th), Fremantle (13th), Brisbane (16th)

Top 8 teams at home WCE (3rd), Port (4th)

The only hard part of the draw is Sydney away

Didn't the Eagles have one of the softest draws in history a couple years back that virtually guaranteed top 4?

Those in glass houses...

I am not arguing that they don’t look unstoppable right now, they do. But a lot can change in football. One team could easily find form from now to finals.
We still have alot of room for improvement aswell, and i reckon most tiger fans would agree that we are not playing our best footy. Most weeks we dont even look like we get out of second gear, and its pretty clear to me at least, that we could still take it up a few more levels. Our gameplan is pretty much built for finals footy and hopefully the finals can bring it out of us.

Hawthorns repeats are 2x last years top 6 2x last years middle 6 and 1x last years bottom 6 when it should have been the same as Collingwood's (1,1 & 3).

Lol my mistake I thought we finished 13th.

Still should have only had 1 repeat against the top 6 instead of 2.

Nope.

Top 6 get 2 x double ups from last year's Top 6, 1 x from last years middle 6, 1 x from last years bottom 6.

Middle 6 (That's Hawthorn from 2017) get 2,1,& 2.

Bottom 6 get 1,1 & 3.

There are glitches, because the Derby's/Showdowns have to happen twice a year and there are 3 or 4 'set' days - Anzac Day etc. Its' usually very close, though.

It's a FIXture, not a draw.

Difference with the Tigers, they play there best footy at the G, they should finish top 2, only injuries will stop them from winning the flag, the other
teams are miles off the Tigers!
Three times this year they have been cut up by 7 goal + quarters. With port it was a 5 min burst that opened em up. Match em inside and turn up dial on pressure they can be beaten...

This invincible tigers stuff is comparable to my daughter posting on Instagram to get some likes. No doubt the flag fancies, but very much can beaten on the day...

I doubt port can beat the pies at the G in the few weeks, let alone the Tigers. Port and the Crows struggle to bring their SA form to Victoria. I said the same thing last year before the Grand Final.

Port have won 4 of their last 5 games at the MCG. Don't confuse us with Adelaide.

When you base your whole game on pressure and you don't bring it that's what happens.

Port for me are the team I can see us losing to or West Coast on a dry day. Port for mine are our biggest worry imo.

Every team in the 8 has lost to at least one team in the bottom half of the ladder but when Pies beat them we are pretenders.

Ess have defeated Geelong, West Coast, Nth, Port & Giants but when we beat them we haven't beaten anyone. Adel have defeated Tigers, West Coast & Syd but when we beat them we haven't beaten anyone.

The Crows (7th) Eagles (2nd) and Port (8th) were in the 8 and bookies favorites when they beat the tiges.

Pies will need maybe 2 losses for rest of the season to lock a top 4 spot.

Tigers loss most likely. North, Sydney, Port west coast all clear danger games.

Will do well to hold on but still possible. Making finals will surely happen which is awesome from our round 1 performance
