Can I just say, from you, I’m a bit surprised with your vote.
Yeah it looks terrible at first glance but something wasn’t quite right about this from the beginning Imo although I had him hung like most people. I’ve been shocked by certain aspects and happened to watch large parts of the inquiry and that was an eye opener to say the least. I think the timing and involvement of the press and the level of involvement then throw in the politicians on both sides and it’s an absolute circus. Grace tame and Brittany Higgins at the national press club, press conferences and rally’s. Some things that were accepted as fact turned out to be simply untrue, then there’s the police interviews, phone records and so on and an incompetent lunatic in drumgold, all up an absolute shit show.

Now it just won’t go away and some things are just disturbing like a massive unprecedented payout in quick time from comcare and to see Higgins posting about her internship working at the UN just wow. Seriously no wonder some politicians and the press are calling for an explanation. Ongoing legal action, lehrmann pushing his claim for compensation, Reynolds suing Higgins for defamation and on it goes, this is burn after reading stuff.

I not sure you can be certain of anything but imo the cops had it right lehrmann shouldn’t have been charged.

FWIW I think he 100% did it but i also think the facts of the case would have made it impossible for any lawyer to get a conviction (which i did say at the time too) and as youve very accurately put it, further information and facts have only strengthened his defense.

My short version is no one but him likely knows what happened in that office, my gut is he definitely did some shady shit to a blackout drunk woman, my head looking at the details make it very very very difficult to think the burden of proof would have been upheld in a criminal court.

Johnny Football wasn’t bad either
I just finished Johnny Football, was fascinating.

I also watched The Problem Child (Jake Pauls one) im not a Paul fan but it was a pretty good doco and a really interesting and raw insight into him and Logan.

Well worth the watch George youre a boxing guy.

See even the blackout drunk part isn’t as first presented, the footage doesn’t back up a stumbling drunk Higgins. It’s a grubby circus with some bad faith participants using it for their own purposes just to muddy things further. It’s also left quite a few careers and lives in tatters, a sad and sorry situation from the start.

Yeh I wouldn’t categorize her as sober and we’ve all been there on a drunk night straightening up to get into a bar. Blackout drunk is probably an overstatement but it’s also subjective (and lens to the reasonable doubt stuff).

Politics has a long history of that. Parliament House behaviour is way below the standards of most modern workplaces.

Also it can catch up fast. Down shots and half an hour later you can be out cold.

Been there, done that 😎

Traditionalists hate the guy but some of the best guys out there were fighting tin cans in their first half dozen fights.

That's not to say Jake becomes anything more than just a decent boxer though, but he is extremely committed and it helps when you're loaded so you can go and source all the best guys. He's using Devin Haney's nutritionist and being trained by former world champions.

I also like what he's doing with the PFL and challenging the UFC to give the fighters a fair go.

Seeing the team he has behind him and the dollars hes pouring in was pretty impressive. It would have been really easy for him to just hit his local Y 3 times a week and go make some bank but hes really invested.

I would have said i wasnt a fan before the doco, i probably didnt come out as a fan but i have a lot of respect for him now.

That‘s an understatement but don’t expect too many changes, ministerial staff etc are a bread apart and nothing like the normal public service.

Spoke to 4 IT peeps today to fix one simple issue on my end that is on their end. You think it could get resolved?

Nah, now for an apparent 20min fix I need to spend 2hours in a car tomorrow morning.

On the plus side, watched a movie today during work hours, even had popcorn.

Was it Bradley Cooper's latest flick?

Nah, when i said watched a movie it was inherently turn TV on, see it's on a movie channel on Foxtel, shrug, make popcorn, alternate between looking at TV and chatting to random SEA people truing to fix something. It was a Statham flick, stuffed if I can recall which one as they're all kind of same same.

Now that's a workday

The popcorn for sure, extra buttery.
