After a player kicks a goal they are banned from leaving the field for 10 minutes of pure game time.

Go to hell all the proponents of 'player who kicks a goal has to run immediately to the bench'

The rule change I'd like to see is to allow the player with the ball to have a reasonable opportunity to dispose of the football before he can be tackled.

I'm sick of seeing someone grab a loose ball above his head or below his knees, and being tackled 0.02 seconds later. No matter what happens, there'll be a stoppage.

The onus is on the tackler to give the player with the ball a chance to get rid of it before he can tackle him.

The debate of what reasonable time is, whether it be distance or time or both needs total clarity.

Let's trial it to see what it looks like in practice. It couldn't hurt.

the AFL must have changed the rules regarding elbows to the head. dangerous rule change if you ask me so I'd like to see it changed back

Ffs, I'm tired of everyone who thinks that a player kicks a goal has to come off, there's literally 1000 times a player will kick a goal and stay on, they go off because it is their turn in the rotation and the break in play from a goal being kicked is as good a chance as any to come off

Ohh, that'll hurt Michael Walters.

Would Hurt Jack Darling also.

The one rule I'd change is to ban shepherding the man on the mark. If there is a 10m exclusion zone for defenders for the player on the mark, then the team mates shouldn't be allowed in to shepherd. If you wanna take the man on, you should take him on one on one.

I expect the AFL to call an emergency summit as players going to the bench after kicking a goal is a threat to the very existence of the league.

Or maybe when two players are sprinting and their whole bodies collide, it's incredibly hard to distinguish what hit what in real time, at pace, from one angle. Was the same with Cyril Rioli v Melbourne, and same last night with Naismith v Fisher.

Why would an injured player kick a goal? If you are injured get off the field before kicking for goal der
Wow. Kicks a goal. Next contest gets injured?

1 rule change id like to see on bigfooty.

Users under the age of 12 shouldnt be aloud to make threads on the main board.

You'd have lost yesterday with that rule.
I disagree. Was a 50/50 call and a fair case can be made for either side. Onus should be on the tackler to go lower, especially if the person they're tacking had that label of "ducker".

I'd love to dig up the Parker elbow and then you try to tell me how NO umpires saw it... but I don't need to
