There's been some iconic Warriors leaders but he'll be regarded as one of the best soon.
A recent addition to the league, I think that in time TIF will be remembered as the greatest Warrior ever. He first captured my attention with some creative shooping, and I will forever be grateful for his work behind the scenes in my term as Admin.
TIF has had a great season as captain and a challenging season as captain so while it may take time to learn his ultimate legacy as a Warrior, his legacy as a poster is well and truly cemented already.
Will go down as one of the best Warrior captains of all time, came in and cleaned up a huge mess doing 3 BnFs in one season after it had been neglected. Built the Warriors into a BOG average posting side to one of the best in the comp.
In my opinion, the single best player in the league at the moment. This guy has it all, he has the skill, the leadership, the banter, he's got everything. He's only been around a few seasons, but already, he has proven to the league why he is a tier 1 SFA player. His leadership is fantastic, his wittiness is second to none and his photoshop skills are incredible. He has done plenty behind the scenes as well, not only for the Warriors, but for the league as a whole.
TheInjuryFactory... What is there to say about him that hasn't already been said, what with all his accolades, graphic-design skills, All-SFAs, Mobbs etc etc.... I mean I'm surprised his head can fit into the neck of his qooty jumper. In saying that, TiF is a giver, and there are many charities which are extremely grateful due to his efforts in raising money for their important causes. He's the front face of the club and even before Woosh stepped away he was always present and active. A true Warrior.
TiF took over the Wazzas when we were near rock bottom and, with a bit of help, transformed the club into what it is today. In fact it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that without TiF's efforts, the Warriors may not be here. As for the SFA, his efforts across the place in terms of organising events like the Light vs Dark charity match, his outstanding media work and providing graphics to others whenever asked have touched the whole of the league. His Frankston Rover Award this season is a testament to this.
TIF has put unbelievable hours into developing the Warriors and, indeed, furthering the league in general. I'm not really sure what else to say aside from the fact that the league wouldn't be as enjoyable for me without TheInjuryFactory's contributions and friendship.
The true legacy hasn't occurred yet but if current trajectories continue he'll surpass most in the league and at the Warriors if he spends his career with them.
TIF is already an SFA legend, contributing some of the best media in the league, and leading the Warriors with great distinction.
I probably can't add a lot to what others will say about him. Great bloke, great poster and great club leader for the Wazzas.
Over The Post had a stellar year and is a lay down misere as this teams rover in his first time as well.
I love how the signature appears as if my homage to TheInjuryFactory would be "Grow up" and yet, it fits so well.Y'know what's crazy? This is what people said about TheInjuryFactory almost 10 seasons ago. Ever since then, it's been obvious that this has been a long time coming.
I called FR the father, Woosh is the mother. A true queen of the team.
Frankston Rover and BigJoeD_ might have been big names at the Warriors when I first joined but Wosh is a revered figure around the Tree and her image still looms large at Coney Island.
Frankie started the club, but Woosh finished it in my eyes. She's as much responsible for the club culture as Frankie and anyone else who's pulled on the jumper. She brought pants and I to the club in S26 and guided me through succession to take the reigns from her and I have modelled my captaincy on hers. Much of my league view was shaped by Wosh, she guided me to become the leader I am today and understand what makes the club tick. She's done it all. Frankies, All-SFA, the EKA, pwned trophy, led our goal kicking and even shut down league attacks with her #ironcurtains, she's been a juggernaut.
I will never recognise Wosh by any name other than Wooshette, and I had some of the most enjoyable threads against the Warriors in S20-23 when she and I were dancing. Her impact on the league has been ground-breaking, and she should be remembered for consigning Close Contest/Cloud_/KP to runner-up in the S20 EKA Medal
As a former captain, Woosh has left an indelible mark on the Wazzas. She also has the leading goalkicker award named after her which shows how much that's the case. But for me, the genuine excitement that comes across both teammates and opponents when Woosh is even mentioned, let alone posts, shows exactly how loved she is both at Coney Island and across the league.
Up there as one of the most influential Warriors captains of all time, did a great job along with Franky of creating a laid back, but tough club culture that never cared about cliques, awards, only about enjoyment and banter.
Not just the Warrior Princess but the most influential female player in the games history. Not that I think she cares.
@Wosh almost gave the greatest legacy OAT to the Warriors by recruiting me as captain after her first stint. I gave serious consideration to taking up the job until I remembered I am a lazy campaigner and that sounded like a lot of work. So I guess you could say she failed miserably and left the warriors with a tainted legacy and well... @TheInjuryFactory
an imposing poster in her day, and one who had a lot of meatheads around the SFA flailing about in her wake. Another one that is missed around the league.
one of the most loved posters in the SFA, and the forum isn't quite the same without her. I have no doubt the club wishes she could find the time to return, because her absence is felt by everybody.
I know Woosh is highly regarded, but i think at the time, she was often underestimated. Captaining them with such big personalities, whilst also carving out her own space. She was always one of my favs to come up against.
Wooshette/Wosh aka Xena Warrior Princess sticks out to me. I first encountered her in the GD Song Contest, and obviously she was at the Warriors when I joined the SFA. She was very active and might have been Captain at the time. She never let anyone ruffle her feathers, and could dish it out with the best of them. She did a hell of a lot for the club and left a massive legacy, it's a shame she's left. Her name was synonymous with them.
The first person that I and many people think of when we think of the Warriors and that higlights her legacy.
the blocked drains at Van Cortlandt Park; it will take years to clear all the seasons of accumulated leg hair
Congratulations manicpie on all SFA in your first season!
Is there an All-SFA for the other conference of teams or nah?
Before I present the full team I would like to acknowledge the two leaders of the All-SFA this season, both leading from half back flanks. James Colorado makes an able vice captain and could easily have eased into the place of the Season 38 All-SFA side captain, tony.
Thankyou for having me in your face again this week for the evening. Good luck to the Dragons and Hawks in this weeks Grand Final and please watch this space for the announcement of the beez medal top 20.

And if I don't get the chance to say it otherwise, please enjoy your holidays and all come back safe to us next season. If you want to bring friends, even better.
Goodnight and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays etc.
Normally I don't care about the All-SFA.
But the fact that I've had a career best season, yet serial_thrilla gets a spot ahead of me has made me realise that life is not a tragedy...
...It's a comedy.
