Poor Finey revealing tonight that his co host this evening and who is also the person who he co hosts the Sunday morning 10-12 footy show with , Robert Shaw , was one of the key architects in prolonging Fineys misery as a St Kilda fan.

Robert Shaw revealed that when he became Adelaide coach in 1995 he was key in deciding to recruit the Footscray player , Shane Ellen , to play for Adelaide in 1996 after Shaw was impressed in Round 1 1993 by how first gamer Ellen played for Footscray v a Fitzroy who were then coached by Robert Shaw.

Shane Ellen went on to kick 5 goals 1 behind , to break St Kilda open in the 1997 Grand Final , after only kicking a total of 2 goals 2 behinds in his previous 26 games for Adelaide in 1996 and 1997.

he writes for the HS. don't need a grasp of english really to work there.

i was thinking about this the other night. our sport (afl) is saturated with people writing, or speaking about the game. in fact its over saturation! during the season a different "expert" is on the station each day as a guest (i.e. scott lucas, cam mooney) and they discuss basically the same stuff that happened prior to.

i wonder what it's like in the UK where soccer is the no 1 sport all over. are sports stations inundated with experts all day every day? i mean, their population dwarfs ours and i imagine the number of media personnel would make ours look minute and insignificant.

Speaking of "Microwaver Mario from Doncaster" a caller rang into Ox and Marko soapbox today saying that they were in Mario service station , its in lower Plenty road apparently and he asked Mario if he was " the Mario" which he said he was , has the microwaved Richmond membership card in a frame on the wall behind him in his service station.

Ox and Marko should do there show from Marios service station one night , and invite a few Richmond , Nth and Carlton players along.
