if I want to just shoot at an indoor range but not own a gun, are licenses still required? Also, do they let you experience things like adding silencers?

I remember reading back in the day with the OJ trial, naturally the jury was in permanent lockdown ans all tv was provided via edited VHS.
The jury being comprised of caucasion and african Americans had an equal mix of programs available.
Trouble brewed because the African Americans refused to watch the caucasion based shows, whereas the caucasions enjoyed both, so in the end only the black based shows were shown.
