I know it sounds silly considering how much we hype acres up but I actually undertae how good how good he can and will be. For someone who has only played 35 games and a few of those as sub he an incredible confidence in the way he plays that only one other player i can think of-Gresh has or plays with at this stage. Compare him to Se Ross. Ross only this year has started to really undertsnad his capabilites and stared to take the game on. Acres has been doing it since day dot. His marking has still not beocme a feature but will start too soon he is especiially comfortable under the high ball the fast bullet pass not so yet but will. I truely think if he played for Melbourne or the Doggies essondon he would be talked up as one of the best up and coming mids but becuase he plays for St Kilda he gets very little attention.

Acres, Sinclair, Ross and Billings

If that group keeps growing and sticks together, look out

He's probably our replacement for Roo on a wing

Perfect position for him imo

Which ground does Jesus glide across?

Usually Etihad Stadium, also known as City of Manchester Stadium. Surprised you didn't know that given you're a Man City supporter...

Only makes sense that Aceres plays for a team at an Etihad Stadium too.

Time for him to really step up and put it all together. Heaven knows we need him to come good....and right now is a good time!

He did come good earlier in the season but then as soon as he had a couple of mediocre games he was dumped for passengers like Long and McKenzie.

Even in his mediocre games he contributes more than either of those two and his potential is way higher as well.

I said before the game last night if we lose and Long and McKenzie don't play well people will be asking why Acres wasn't played and here we are again.

I'll be bloody ropeable if he isn't in the side next week against Sydney and I wouldn't blame him for walking to another club if he isn't.

Yes, I agree, I really meant for longer periods of the game and more consistently. He needs to have a real breakout game, but he also needs to be played in the correct position to give him the best chance to do so.
I'm a fan.

I can see Acres coming in next week but not looking forward to him being put in a pocket to rot. Sets him up to fail. Will go to Perth at the end of his contract next year & be an absolute star digging it out of the centre & galloping away from stoppages bossing it up.

Really hope this performance sets him up for the rest of the year. With an in form Acres in the side we are a way better team. If he could hit form for us now it could get us to the finals.

People will really be baying for Richo's blood if Acres is not selected next week based on his performances over the last few weeks.

If that's not something to build on for a bloke that's being tried in a possie he doesn't excel in they I don't know what is.

Averages just over 2 clangers a game

Dropped after one bad game...gotta change his name to Mav or Luke

As if six different clubs haven't already approached Blake and told him that they'll play him in his natural position when his contact with us is done.
