So for something interesting, I now have a bet with a North supporter that Western Bulldogs will beat North this weekend, loser leaves the Bay 13 for 4 weeks. I kind of want to lose but it will be hilarious if I win so well worth it.

It should be the looser only posts in the bay for 4 weeks and no other board, now that would be major punishment.

I'm in trouble, injuries everywhere. Feel I have to trade him out tomorrow though, can't see him playing

I've got Petterd and Rischitelli too. Both out. Might have to risk Ivan
I've got Blicavs and Daw as my rookies, could risk Daw over Maric, 40 vs 80 or 40 vs 0.

Bay 13- the concept seems like fun until you realise the average age on that board must be 16 or so!

Tipping this week - two games giving me strife - help me out Tigers:

Port vs Us - I usually tip against us in 50/50s but our recent record at AAMI has me thinking we can get up here - should i listen to my head with cotchin, vics, grimes and perhaps maric in the outs?

Melb vs Gold Coast - Melbourne are yet to lose to an expansion side, but statistics like this mean nothing when you are getting put away by 10 goals on a weekly basis? Suns good enough away from home?

Go for us. For reasons I'll explain at about 4.30p.m. on Saturday.
And Gold Coast. I've just changed my tip to them (mind you, I'm shithouse).
Melbourne are shocking. Hello. But they've got Chris Dawes holding down their forward line.
And it's "press red for Gaz" this week.
A camera on G.Ablett the entire game.
Game over.

Found a great story on eBay...Yes eBay! Reminded me of Tyler.

Autographed collectible cards are nothing new here on eBay stories. We’ve written about Michael Jordan cards that ended up selling for over $37K, and cards signed by baseball great Hank Aaron which ended up selling for $35K. But rarely do we run across a truly unique and special items such as today’s remarkable find, this Nebraska 7-Year-Old Jack Hoffman Autographed 2013 Upper Deck Star Rookie Card:
The listing description gives you an idea of what you are bidding on, with all funds raised supporting the Team Jack Foundation.
“You are bidding on one blow-up size promotional card which is hand-numbered #1/3. The blow-up card measures approximately 13.5″ x 19″ and was personally signed by 7-year-old Jack Hoffman.”
We were intrigued by this auction, to say the least. Who is this child prodigy, a primary school student with his own card? The seller explains:

“Jack Hoffman is a 7-year-old boy born and raised in Atkinson, Nebraska (pop. 1,100). He has been a Cornhusker football fan his entire life. In 2010, for his 5th birthday, his parents took him to his first Husker game (photo above). His Mom and Dad (Bri & Andy) purchased him a Rex Burkhead #22 jersey for the game. Jack is no different than any other little boy growing up in the great state of Nebraska. He loves to play sports, ride his bike, fish, hunt, and watch Cornhusker football.
Fatefully, on April 22, 2011, Jack was life-flighted to Children’s Hospital Omaha after suffering a life threatening seizure. A subsequent MRI showed a mass in the left temporal lobe of his brain. On May 20, 2011, Jack underwent surgery for the removal of a brain tumor next to his brain stem. The surgery was unsuccessful as only a small amount of the tumor was removed. The remaining tumor was declared inoperable.
Doctors decided that chemotherapy was the next step. On April 27, 2012, Jack began 60 weeks of chemotherapy at Children’s Hospital Omaha. The chemotherapy regimen that Jack is taking is a 25-year old treatment, as medical advancements in this therapy have languished due to a severe lack of funding.”
So, Jack’s parents partnered with CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, a national non-profit foundation which funds children’s cancer research. The family is raising money for the “Team Jack Legacy Fund.”

In addition, Jack is a dedicated Nebraska football fan, and he formed a special friendship with Nebraska running back Rex Burkhead. The team has gotten behind Jack, and, during the fourth quarter of Nebraska’s annual Red-White Spring Game held April 6th, Jack got to make an amazing play: a 69 yard touchdown run, which you can see here:

The moment is truly inspiring, especially as it occurred in front of 60,000 Huskers fans. Mike Schnoor, owner of Prep 2 Pro Sports, was one of those fans, and relates this part of the story:

“My family and I attended the Nebraska spring football game and we were fortunate enough to witness Jack’s touchdown run in person that day. There were not many dry eyes in the stadium during that special moment in Husker history, including ours. I was already working in conjunction with The Upper Deck Company to produce a limited number of Rex Burkhead blow-up size cards to be used as part of an exclusive in-store promotion at Prep 2 Pro Sports. On the drive home from the spring game, I began thinking I should contact Upper Deck and see if they would also be willing to produce a few blow-up size cards of Jack to celebrate his special moment.”
The rest, as they say, is history, and eBay is thrilled to have been chosen as the platform to sell this wonderful item. Here are the specifics on this card:

“There were a total of five blow-up cards that we received from The Upper Deck Company. The first one has been presented to Jack. The other four have been personally signed by Jack. Three were signed in silver and hand-numbered 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3, respectively. The final card was signed in gold and is hand-numbered 1/1. In this eBay auction, we are offering blow-up card #1/3, which was signed in silver.”
With a total of 50 bids, the card is currently being “traded” at $2,325, with about three days left in the auction. It would be great to see this card reach the level of the Michael Jordan card described above, wouldn’t it?

Amazing.:thumbsu:

I tipped Richmond and Melbourne only because Dawes is playing and Rischetelli is out.

But I'm not sure how Melbourne will stop Ablett.

Got a mention :D

But yesterday I downed tools, to seek opinion on this matter of McGuane. I wanted to hear the voice of the crowd, and to do so turned to social media. I sent a tweet. What came back was a chorus of @LukeMcGuane love, a Twitter trail of clipped praise that in part, read:
@gohardtiggers Mate, l m extremely happy 2 tell everybody l thought Luke was gone last year. Gee it is good 2b wrong. Congrats
@ScotE_2hotE My tiger mates and i call him the Great McGuando. The magician who comes from nowhere to mark or kick a goal #needsacapeandhat

@TheHolyBoot Massive Lukey fan. Remember his first game v Swans at Docklands. We got smashed but he kicked a nice goal on... [eight subsequent tweets recount the story and pass-on well-wishes]
@mtorney78 just the fact that he was given the chance to reinvent himself, and restart his career, and took it.

@NathanBrown_07 only a skinny fella but pound for pound the strongest at the club. Eats the bench press.
@AndrewCumpston loved the way he fought back into the 1s last year by hard footy 4 the burg when it looked his career was over
@DrMikeAU Forward or back, he's one of our own, with each goal he kicks, in our hearts he has grown #McGun

What are the odds- bombers get nailed about round 20 and the 9th placed tigers move in at their expense.
Then it's oh tigers made the 8 on default.... Can see it already.

What does everyone think of the "Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright" pieces?

Before the season kicked off I thought they were self-indulgent wank.

Then as the season started I found myself really enjoying them - reading his analysis and thoughts on the wins and various aspects of the club were great.

I must admit, I’m struggling again now we're not getting the 4 points. Probably leaning towards the wank again, although I love the amount of love and air time Lukey McGuane gets in them!
