I'm thinking the supposed disappointment from the players may have made Waite re-think his decision. If we're close to Norths offer then maybe he'll stay. Surely being a one club player has some appeal.

Stuff that. He has been overpayed for three years. We should not cave in to demands for more money and definitely not give him a second year.If we're close to Norths offer then maybe he'll stay. Surely being a one club player has some appeal.
I have the answer, HBF!If we're close to Norths offer then maybe he'll stay. Surely being a one club player has some appeal.
I doubt anyone on here would know the answer to your question.
It would only be speculating.
We will soon find out.
He was paid the exact amount Carlton agreed to pay him, no more no less. Have Geelong been overpaying Daniel Menzel?Stuff that. He has been overpayed for three years. We should not cave in to demands for more money and definitely not give him a second year.
Only these will happen IMO.
Waite should go.
Sick of deluding ourselves year after year that he will be the answer to our forward line problems.
Wouldn't surprise me that Waite is on his way to the Hawks and is waiting on them to finish their campaign before announcing it.
I just think it's time to let Waite go.
If he really wanted to stay, he would have signed long ago.
Those last 6 games this year aren't what we will be getting from him in 2015.
It doesnt bother me if he stays or goes, im maybe leaning towards him leaving. We know he doesnt play 22 games, more likely 15 games (of which 5 he will be next to useless) and will be gone in a year or 2 anyway.
He has shown potential to be a superstar but year after year doesnt get it done (mainly injury). North can have him
On output, in hindsight, he was being overpaid. That was my point, and I am not sure what yours is.He was paid the exact amount Carlton agreed to pay him, no more no less. Have Geelong been overpaying Daniel Menzel?
How can North afford him? They are offering Higgins 4 years at 400k!!!????
Does anyone else think they are seriously overrating their list, and topping it up by overpaid old injury prone players is just going to make the fall harder?
My point is that Carlton paid him what they expected his output to be worth. If his output doesn't match that it's idiotic to point the finger at him.On output, in hindsight, he was being overpaid. That was my point, and I am not sure what yours is.
Don't follow your line of thinking re-Menzel at all.

OMG, is that BlueBelle and zeeCFC; what are they doing here? Some coincidence...
It depends on what the reason for that reduced output was in my opinion. My point is that Carlton paid him what they expected his output to be worth. If his output doesn't match that it's idiotic to point the finger at him.
In hindsight, player contracts are private & you actually have no idea how much he was being paid.
After a month of decent footy that was two months too late at that.Juddy, Gibbs, Murph, Yarran all signed on for less than market value which you'd hope had set a standard.
Waite isn't going to get any better and if wants out, so be it. Don't see why he should be holding a gun to the clubs head after a month of decent footy.
It's bad form to get stuck into Carlton players on the Carlton board, especially when you claim to be a supporterIt depends on what the reason for that reduced output was in my opinion.
By the way, its bad form to throw words like idiotic at people who disagree with you.
