Sen rumour: Adrian Anderson a candidate for CEO when we part ways with Swann.

It's sen so probably complete bull.

Would be a very astute selection.

I remember that there were rumours about him joining the Saints at as their CEO at the time, but he turned them down .... perhaps waiting on a better offer? :)

Swanny turned them down too.

He is a very smart man, could do a lot worse.
When he resigned from AFL I wasn't so sure. But then the Essendon saga hit the fan & Melbourne tanking - very smart man to get out when he did. Look how Vlad's rep suffered since.

That it came from Andy Maher probably makes it a bit more valid.
He'd be a great asset to the club, and would really follow the Pratt mantra.

Go and get the best person for the job - not just the best available.

Makes zero sense that we keep tight lipped about injuries like that. Not like people are buying memberships depending on Carrazzo's fitness. Not like it creates match up headaches for our opposition. It maybe even underlines our wretched run with injuries giving us an excuse. Having said that, I completely believe this rumour to be true.

It is true! ;)

Maybe we should list 'ingrown toenail' as our standard injury or 'hair follicle fatigue' or something. ;)

Never a problem at Carlton.....a quick trip to Ciccones will fix that up quick smart.

Maybe im just being incredibly cynical, but weve seemingly had more "back problems" in recent years than I can ever remember. Seems like a good way of covering for an actual injury.

I'm fine with the club not being fully transperant on what the injury is, but I would like them to be better at forecasting the time it will take to recover (and would prefer for the club to be more conservative than less).

Common business practice.

Under promise - over deliver > over promise - under deliver.

Interesting. I didn't want him determining the direction of the game, but running a club doesn't affect the way the game is played. Just takes intelligence, contacts, and business savvy. Certainly has a profile that would draw some interest, so I'm not going to get caught up in the jokes made at his expense when he was next in line at the AFL.

Was he though?
The AD succession plan would have just been getting started when AA left the AFL. Maybe he was told Gillon was next in line so he went to look for other opportunities elsewhere.

I had some cartilage come away from a rib after a knee to the chest in a ruck contest. I was in a foetal position mid-air before hitting the ground... geez it was painful. Couldn't breathe without pain for about two weeks and coughing would make me cry.

Spend 4 weeks on the sidelines then wore the world's biggest brace around my midsection to play. Make me look 10kg heavier but still let out a little whimper every time I marked on the chest.... Played like crap for ages lol

Don't really think I am adding anything to this conversation but some sympathy would be nice. I still have a weird little lump near my sternum. :(

have something similar, but get this.....after pain for 12 months or so, numerous scans (4 now) they've discovered that my 9th and 10th ribs on both sides were never properly attached to the cartilage in the first place! In the immortal words of my radiologist "You just weren't built right"

yayyyy
