I highly doubt that any club would bid if they didn't truly believe Moore was worth selecting at that pick. That's a big bluff to play and could easily lose someone their job.

My guess is at least one club will bid if they believe he's worth it, and Collingwood won't hesitate to match. However the motive for those clubs bidding won't be because it forces the Pies to match it.

I dont pretend to know Beams' situation, but geez anything short of like a family member having cancer or something (which happened to a mate of mine recently and flew home as a result) you gotta think he is just getting off a burning ship and thats disgraceful from a Pies perspective. The whole "we gotta take a pay cut to keep it together" like Geelong did to win those flags and then turns round less than 2 seasons later. That deserves a big spotlight on it. Perhaps Buckley should be looked at now?

As for Brisbane, it would either be Rockcliffe or Hanley and I don't imagine Brisbane would be in any hurry to lose them.

The thought I always have is "would you pick the guy if he was on offer at 6" in my mind not Jaksch ..... but could be part of a Shiels or Mitchell deal . I think a Sheils deal could be done - he is dynamite and grew up a carlton supporter (which I honestly believe adds a bit of emotional buy in) ... he comes off contract next year for GWS and unless they lock him up people will come looking and they will not do as well - of course if they don't play this time lets hope we are one of the clubs looking. Possibly but we'd probably have to give up more than Gold Coast (Malceski FA/only have Bris to compete with for Beams). I'm more worried about not being able to beat them for the next 10 years.
