Whiley craps on Frost as a prospect. Disposal efficiency is easily explained. How many players crack 75% over their first few games? Played games as a tagger which is not his preferred role, and if you take his 50something percent against the doggies out his DE is actually good. (Note in that game Treloar, who is worth pick 7 and then some, ran at 55%).

Do yourself a favour compare Whiley's NEAFL 2014 to Miles 2013, (it's infinitely superior), and Mitchell's NEAFL stats. Whiley is somewhere Between.

Miles was instrumental in a team that strung wins together. Whiley has more tools.
Actually not that much difference in NEAFL performances given that miles missed a chunk of 2013 due to foot injuries. Furthermore, miles was delisted and a rookie selection - something that whiley could readily become if he isnt traded - even after taking into consideration his many tagging roles, whiley hasnt gotten much of the ball and is clearly ranked 13-15th mid on the GWS list (based on games played/age profile etc).

Have absolutely no issue with selecting whiley as a separate late trade or rookie selection on the hope that he will continue to develop enough to be a solid 22 player - the query is whether or not we can get something better as a package deal for jacksh/pick 19 than someone who is worth a 4th round pick at best.

As for frost v whiley - I'd that a promising 21yo KPP that actually manages to get games as part of the GWS team rather than a 21 yo mid that has struggled to get any games at all.

pick 7 for Jaksch and Tom Bugg ? Would jump at this in a heartbeat. If GWS wanna play hard ball then we should too.
