It seems that certain patterns and trends form among posters, certain laws that just seem to go without saying. Many of them are myths, or completely laughable when examined closely, but nevertheless they hold some sort of power amongst posters.

Here's a few:

The better your team is, the more you know about football, or the more qualified you are to comment on it.


That ONE example of something, or one exception, immediately proves or disproves a theory/argument.


That a player or team can go from promising, to rubbish, in the space of one week, and then back up the next.
