I once saw Hammie win a race on 3 wheels was there an investigation after that race for driving in an unsafe condition? :joycat:

What a joke of a penalty honestly. Why wouldnt you drive back to the pits rather than cause a needless safety car.

As I understand it the issue is that he was littering debris all over the track.

How do you figure that? if McLaren pit Piastri for a new set of softs then he can race for the win. Leaving him out on old mediums set him up to lose out to both Mercedes. A double podium was lost and Piastri once again on the wrong end of it

The safety car killed McLaren. Norris was 12 seconds in front and pulling away, then missed the chance to pit because he was past the pit entry. It was a race that go away for McLaren.

As Lando said post race, the Safety Car helped him win in Miami, this time it helped him lose. Thats just the sport

It was the second one that they failed on. How you let the Mercedes pit and don't even cover off with one of them is poor strategy. Yes Oscar held them up for a small bit but if they pitted Oscar he's still ahead of Lewis and can put pressure on Russell then which ultimately still helps Norris.

I was referring to the first safety car and there was nothing that McLaren could do about the situation.

Swings & Roundabouts, as the commentators frequently pointed out. He lost Canada because of the SC, having won Miami because of the SC.
