After the last half of last season and the Essendon NAB game I thought we were headed in the right direction, well atleast pointing somewhere towards it, now.......

Here is my take,

We are playing a game style that requires good disposal and decision making, both of which we are the worst at in the AFL. We play on at all costs and then end up having to bomb it long because our skills/decision making put the ball carrier under pressure, we had 54% kicking efficiency in the 3rd quarter for ****s sake.

So we have two options.
1. Improve the skills to match the game plan, or
2. Change the game plan to match the skills

Of course option #1 is preferred but after seeming to improve last year have taken a quantum leap backwards.
Option 2 is not going to win us games either and is 'cutting ones nose off'

So what do we do?

Well Woosha has run his course so time to put Burns in charge.
Once in charge is #1 concern should about increasing skills and footy smarts.

Player wise, I believe there are plenty of good young players with the ability to be good enough, with the right training and coaching.

Wooshe has tried to concentrate on game plan, at the cost of skills and his job, that simple.

Just being serious for a second, if Woosha was to go, we need a coach who builds a team for a premiership tilt and isn't just happy with playing finals without achieving anything.

He has never inspired me with his words as a coach. He never gets angry and seems to try and turn everything into a joke of some kind.

It seems Woosha cant coach struggling team it was much easier when Cox Kerr Cousins Judd etc were fit and firing to coach because they would just dominate each week.

Micale wasn't any good for us. A good WAFL coach but didn't cut it at AFL level like that other ex WAFL coach we got rid of a year or two ago.

Paul Roos would be sensational for us but it's a shame he is throwing it in for a while at least at the end of this season.

Speaking of our past assistant coaches, Rob Wiley was highly regarded, wasn't he?

I think he was our skills/tactics coach before Broadbridge took over.

Yeah actually since Wiley left we have gone backwards. He was as good as they got.

Roos is ok but i'm not a fan of that negative style. It's not really WA and more often than not, it doesn't win finals...

I'd like some smart, arrogant b*****d like Clarko. Backs in skillfull players and identifies with the talented t*ssers you kind of need to win the comp.

Don't know who that'd be though.

Don't need a new head coach cause we don't have one at the moment.

Just brief the players in WA and send them to melbourne to play with the NMFC. Conversation with worsfold

Worsfold - Keep with zone defense, we don't need to tag harvey, he's a has been... only got 5 possessions last week.

I have to say after watching this tripe that apparently is football I would have to agree with everyone.

Personally I think Dean Laidley...has the experience, has excellent tactical nous.

Alternatively if you wanted to go with someone with no senior experience I would say Scott Burns, Gary O'Donnell maybe even Ken Hinkley
