We had assigned cars, then we swapped them because one broke down too many times and I'd had enough of it. Now I have a new car and he doesn't know how to drive it, so we are firmly established with his and hers.

I HATE anyone else driving my car - they move the seat, and the mirrors, and redirect the air con, crunch the gears (it's a manual), but occasionally it happens out of necessity

If anything, we have assigned cars for certain tasks. Whoever is working from the office takes the more manoeuvrable sedan, person working from home has the 4x4 if they need to get somewhere. Kids activities is the 4x4 with space. But we both drive whatever suits, no car is assigned to either of us.

The last one I had was a 1976 Mini S with less than 50k on the clock, I bought it for three thousand and sold it when I bought my pub for eight. I still miss that car.

we've always had our own cars
i had a manual for years and my partner didn't really like driving manuals
then we had one car which was theres for a few years when I didnt need a car

I'd drive it with them because i am a terrible passenger or use it if needed but it was their car

we've both got cars now again , need them for our jobs and i like mine and they like theirs

they are very different sizes and sizes and drive very differently

i can see if the cars were similar caring less

but not having a car feels like not having a side of the bed

both the same make and model too
diff coulors and one is just a little bit faster than the other one
the faster one mrs pc uses as she drives less kms to work and id like to keep the kms lower on it
mine we use for everything else
