I have ambulance cover - never needed it - assume I get a free ride

My daughter (different one) has it as part of her health cover but it’s been marked as non urgent and apparently you have to buy that as an extra

Costs like 50 bucks a year to insure yourself though.

Isn't our Universal public health great?

No dental no mental health no ambulance in some states

Glasses? Sorry, hearing aids? Sorry

Shit good luck seeing a GP for free these days and hope you can afford your prescription

One bloke at my old job passed out , so someone called him an ampo.
When it rocked up he run and hide because he thought he had to buy for it ...lol.
Did nt know work would of paid.
While I was struggling with my health issues my boss asked me if I had cover - I said no and said if I collapse and someone calls an ambulance I am not paying for it

He looked shocked that someone would push back on that

Then again he didnt like it when I called him a Fhead 14 months later either

It's also worth noting that, based on personal experience (with friends, not in a professional capacity), ambos take this membership really personally too. They really do see membership as a vote of support in them, similar to how sporting clubs do.
