The best way to stop it is to adopt it yourself. Straight-faced and just as if you would in normal conversation. Don’t overdo it or they’ll know you’re having a shot at them. The young hate it when the olds adopt their lingo and hopefully will drop it. The danger is they might come up with worse expressions

Fight broke out at pub tonight and I have that one friend who just wants to get involved. Had no skin in the game. Just saw a fight and was ready to go. Don’t get that mentality. Of course he’s the one mate from Toronto.

I was on a ski trip with some guys from Vancouver recently and I asked them which ice hockey game I should see if I wanted some fiery action when I visit Canada next year
They said go to Toronto and watch the Oilers vs the Leafs ( I think ?)
Oilers vs Flames would be a better bet. But yeah, everyone hates the Leafs.
Geez I hate going out with people like that, they can get you mixed up in a bad situation quite easily, I don't get it either.
One of my mates asked me a while back if i was keen to get into a fight because I've been doing boxing a while to see how I go. Massive WTF from me, i replied that if I want to fight someone there's plenty of willing participants at my gym. Guys like your mate should do boxing or martial arts i reckon.

First game I went to was Blackhawks vs Leafs and the Leafs were 3-1 up with 3 minutes to go and the Blackhawks scored twice and then won a penalty shoot up.
Wild scenes!
A Leafs fan was talking on the bus on the way to go the game and Blackhawks fans were making fun of him and he took it fairly well considering it sounds like they are cursed.
Yeah. He used to play hockey. Needs that to get some testosterone out I think.
