Im pretty sure ive still got a box of music cassettes somewhere

I have NFI what happened to my small collection of cassettes. I do know that I haven't owned anything capable of playing one for probably 20 years though. I think my car can play CDs but I've never tried. Love me some nostalgia but cassettes and VHS can get in the bin as a technology.

Might take a Discman and a battery powered computer speaker to work and show the younglings. If I had one of these I would show them what 'connecting device' looked like not so long ago...

I had one of those big tower racks of CDs back in the 90s which was my pride and joy that now all sit collecting dust in storage.

I also had one of those travel packs of CDs that I took overseas in the late 90s with my trusty old Sony Discman to listen to them.

These days you can listen to any album you want to on youtube which is more convenient and cheaper but it's just not the same.

Back in the 90s you would rock up to someone's place for a party and the first thing you would do is check out their CD collection.

I don't know what the kids do at parties these days, show each other their spotify playlists that they have already seen on tiktok.

I've still got one of those in a box in the garage somewhere.

I use the modern equivalent. My car doesn't have Spotify but I bought a gadget that can Blu-tooth to my phone then transmit a signal that the radio can pick up.

vinyl back in vouge .

Last time I was in JB they have vinyl and turn tables.
Bought one a couple of years ago for 99 bucks - was amazed I was able to record to USB - love love the sound of the record turning on the computer

Add AudioSlave to that list.

Audioslave were a great noughties band that were produced from two great 90s bands RATM and Soundgarden that aged well.

I can still remember back in 2002 going into a CD store with a mate of mine to listen on the headphones to their new album.

Does anyone else remember when CD stores had those listening stations with headphones so you could try before you buy?

There aren't even CD stores these days let alone listening stations, it seemed futuristic at the time, now it just feels ancient.

Bashes had that set up with the head phones.

Unit would of been one of the top albums.

Brashs and Sanity were the big 90s CD stores, Brashs bit the dust a long time ago and Sanity is now an online only music store.

I miss the old CD stores in shopping centres, that was one of the few stores I had any interest in, loved rifling in the bargain bin.
