I've been watching the Gods of Tennis doco on SBs and it is all about the 70s and early 80s tennis stars.
Like Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Jimmy Conners, Arthur Ashe, Billie Jean King, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova.
No mention of Evonne Goolagong Cawley though who won Wimbledon twice, the French Open and the Australian Open 4 times.
Adore Annie alwaysChris Evert turns 70 today
likewise Annie Lennox on Xmas & Denzel next Sat

80s kid here = bolded was the addendum some in our family used to add.I guess this goes here
At a Xmas trivia night and Rudolph was the answer to a song and because Xmas they had a singalong and the crowd added extra lyrics - because people in a pub dont sing in harmony it was hard to define what the extra bits they were singing
Anybody?
The kids still learn this version, my son sang it with his class at assembly last week80s kid here = bolded was the addendum some in our family used to add.
You know Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall
the most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows like a light bulb
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names Like Pinocchio
they never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games Like Monopoly
then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
"Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
then how the reindeer loved him
And they shouted out with glee Yippee
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
You'll go down in history!"
Mate of mine slept through it as a 6 month old. He's still got pictures of his dad trying to hold the roof on.50 years since Santa never made it into Darwin
We had Darwin kids turn up for school in February 1975 and I never really thought about how difficult that must have been. No counselling just get on with life
