im hoping they swap the instantaneous gas to an instantaneous electric. then i can forget about gas bottles

at my own house, which i have tenants in, i expect a call at any moment regarding the gas hot watersystem as its 10 years old. when it goes, i will tell plumber to replace with instantaneous electric and the house will no longer need gas for anything

At the house where I am currently renting/long term house sitting, my mate has brought and electric webber bbq and every steak, fish, burger, snag has come out being pretty ****ing elite.

Its consistent and no ****ing around.

Do miss the smokey taste of smoking meat though.

An electric weber? Wasn't the point of the weber the fact it was a charcoal bbq?

On a similar note I just purchased my first spit and I'll be doing my first cook next weekend. Just ordered the lamb shoulder for it. Can't wait.

Marinade or just put it on afterwards?
Roo is great but if you screw it up it's leather. I use the mince as well.

Afterwards for burgers, marinade for chicken.

It is a very delicate dance with roo meat, I have yet to try Roo steaks and snags, confident with burgers though.

Trust me my friend group has all hung shit on the mate I am staying with for getting the electric webber, it even comes with an app.

It is the bbq for the "cryptobro" crowd.

A good spit and charcoal bbq is a must for me, a good gyros goes a long way.

I love the stubbs bbq sauce range.

Another I have been using lately, but mainly for spicy stuff is Uncle Mugos. Great sauces/rubs/salts.

I bought the classic Weber Kettle from Bunnings quite a few years ago and the on floor sales man asked if I was interested in getting the gas converter kit

I want to cook over charcoal thats why I'm shelling out for this...

I've had marinated roo skewers before which were great on the BBQ. Easy to eat too, don't have to put your beer down

I've got the Weber Q for everyday BBQing and then the kettle version for when I can be bothered

Plus a mini kettle which used to be used a bit but now makes for a good fire pit

Exactly the same. Q for snags burgers skewers etc and the classic Kettle for big chunks of meat that are marinated and require care...I.e me sitting next to it watching cricket.

A few years back I used the kettle for a glazed ham on Xmas day which was a nice alternative to using the oven

I did a goat rack on the small one for Xmas a few years ago and that turned out really well

Do you not have a kitchen?

That's primarily used in winter with outdoor cooking the preference in summer - plus less cleaning up with cooking on the BBQ

Obviously there's some maintenance to keep it nice, but the regular cleaning procedure is simply to heat it up before use & give it a good scrub with the brush to remove any charcoal

Sorted through a few items over the last week - got rid of a few dvds/xbox 360 video games earlier this morning.
Quite horrifying just giving away stuff that in total would be $$$ money spent over the years.......... but if I don't use it, time to lose it

dvds included Superman (one of the many copies that I own, still yet to find the others to cull them too).
Seinfeld (the separate seasons collection - still retain the other "full" box set form)
Training Day (can live without the dvd, as I have it in both bluray and 4K)
Die Hard 1 - 3 (single disc editions).... I did find my 2 disc versions of the movies as well, but kept them for nostalgic reasons (Die Hard 1 & 2 2 disc editions were among my first dvd purchases in 2002.

Have gone through a few more locations where I've got games/dvds/blurays stored - earmarked for my next "dumping"

Rambo Trilogy box set (The first box set that was released in Australia in 2004. No extras, just the movies).
I also found (but opting to keep at this point in time) separate 2 disc editions of the trilogy. The first release in Australia had no extras, but within 2 years the movies were re-released this time featuring the extras that America got like 3 years before hand. I also found another "Rambo" collection set, but it's all 4 movies in one single dvd case. Mulling over what to do. At the very least the original box set will be going, but I might keep the "box" from the box set (looks like an army box after all) and put the 2 disc editions inside the box AND donate the single disc versions.

A few of the Rocky movies on bluray (I own the rocky collection on dvd, bluray and 4K - so I can and will sacrifice the individual copies of the films that I own).
Die Hard 1 - 3 blurays (getting rid of the individual versions, as I have a bluray box set as well... box set can stay).

Deadwood seasons 1 & 2

Breaking Bad Season 4 (donated season 1 & 2 today) funny thing is that I purchased the bluray collection last year** because I couldn't find the dvd versions.... alas after a clean up I finally found where seasons 3 and 4 were . Don't need them any more since I have the bluray set.

A few dodgy movies (eg: Valentine's Day)

And the games range from Fifa 06-07, World Cup 2010..... to a few Xbox Kinect ones.
