No one should have weddings on Grand Final day. At least some of your guests will absolutely want to watch it and its a pretty important day on the grander social calendar for most Australians.
It really is the best day to have it on if your ethnic and dont follow AFL.

One small blessing of the 2015 GF was my ethnic friend's wedding was on that day - I have never watched that game, just got periodic score updates.

That's what I get for having no friends, nobody wants to share gruesome videos with me. I haven't seen anything or even had an opportunity to see something.

A lot of crap will appear on youtube or even online if you get on when the news is breaking, usually someone has uploaded it if they have any vision.

I have seen some disturbing videos over the last few years.

'Things that I don't understand'.... why people would want to see that video anyway
Ive watched the entire video of when a woman overseas was squatting at the gym and ending up killing herself.

It was educational, made me very conscious and emphasized the point to not ever even remotely do dumb stupid shit in the gym.

I wish that happened to me in 2017. :$ :'(

I actually would not have gone to the wedding truth be told.

I remember back in 2017, the city of Adelaide was at a standstill that arvo.

I didn't have an opinion either way but it seemed a little strange.

I think firstly I probably wouldn't have filmed it but tried to look around to see if there was someone who could help (while obviously understanding that was probably pointless) - but if for some reason I chose to film it, I'd probably be quiet maybe I dunno

I think it depends on the age of person. I think its common for a millennial to do it.

I've always felt that by watching that sort of thing you're doing precisely what the people producing or sharing them want you to do.

I think in some cases it helps me understand/empathize a situation and not be naive. Im talking about me, not others here.

I completely f’ed up merging onto the freeway the other day and nearly sideswiped another car. Immediately gave the sheepish "sorry, my fault" hand and all was gravy.

I think you actually get alot of leeway if you acknowledge stuff.

I got rear ended as I was exercising caution and slowed down to turn at a pedestrian crossing as a pedestrian looked like she was going to cross.

The taxi driver from the Middle East thats been in Australia in 5 years, is telling me its my fault that he hit me from behind.

The policeman of Asian background, cleared me of any fault.

I just kept quiet the entire time, I couldnt believe what I was hearing. I think the only reason I didnt lose it, is because the driver was playing some form of 3D chess on me and I got stunned by his stupidity.

So much this. No matter how good you are as a driver everyone has done this but at least say sorry.

Selfish bad driving is different of course though.

To a point sure, but I do think the taboo on talking about it contributes to a lot of the problems when people die

My brother never wanted to know about Dad’s will but he still got pretty shitty about the terms of it… I would have preferred he had that argument with Dad before he died instead of being resentful afterwards

We did a will when our son was born. It’s not a pleasant convo but it is a necessary one.

I do think kids arguing over it whilst parents are still living is pretty distasteful

I will should be seen as a way of protecting your family when you are no longer present.

As you said, its not pleasant but its necessary.

I know one family, are just waiting for everyone to die but them, to eventually inherit everything. The stupidity with all this, is that they will be in their 80s when it happens.

Well I've lost both parents on separate occasions and me and my three older brothers have managed to stay mates, this is usually when family breakups happen. (Or when a new dickhead partner enters the scene)
A new dickhead partner needs to be drop kicked.

Ive heard of situations of new partners getting crap over blood family.

E-scooters can fu** right off imo. If you're a grown adult riding one of these you need to get your life in order. Buy a motorbike or ride a pushbike. Can't handle it on the open road then stay off it.

I was in Hobart a few weeks back and they have a trial of these down there and they are scattered across every footpath and left sitting everywhere, will be another disaster like the blue bikes were.

When I see one approach me, I dont break stride, I literally brace for a hard hip and shoulder.

Mind you when its a 19 year old kid, its easy to act tough.:$

Got stuck behind some idiot riding an e scooter on the road the other day.
Instead of attracting demerit points if you hit one, you should be losing demerit points.

How the f**k are they allowed on the road?

For starters their speed should be reduced to walking. Why should they be allowed to go that fast on the footpath?

Bought something online and the seller used aramex/fastway couriers. Worst company ever. It's been sitting in their depot for 3 weeks

If you buy anything online and they use couriers you dont like, try and get them to use the one you want. ie Maybe Australia Post? Paying even $5 or $10 more is worth it, given the head f**ks using some couriers.

Better to go to your local PO then drive to other end of town to a remote depot that closes at 4pm.

In public domain all by yourself? Not being linked by an acquaintance?

What I mean is for example, in Brisbane there was cop shooting at McDonalds which broke in the news just a few hours ago.

If you happened to go to youtube the entire shooting was shown. I dont know if its still up. Its graphic.
