Yeah I've certainly mused whether Russia are a victim of cancel culture. Not that I disagree with the sanctions but like you hint at a lot of people for the sanctions probably hate "cancel culture".

Russia invading a sovereign nation and violating the norms of international relations isn't really comparable to someone losing a gig because they might have said something iffy.

It shits me quite a bit when I read that someone is 'breaking their silence'. Lately I noticed it in relation to the Warne family, who have apparently broken their silence in relation to the great man's death.

Thing is, they refer to people breaking their silence after only a matter of days since the event they're responding to, when the simple fact is that they have simply chosen to not speak straight away.

If Celebrity No-Name has pictures published of her kissing some bloke who is not her husband, if she flies to the Caribbean to escape ignominy, if she only tells her story after 3 years of seclusion of shame, then that is to break a silence. If she instead talks to the media after little more than 3 days, replete with an interview detailing her painful years in a loveless marriage, begging her fans to forgive her for finding life and love once again, then that cannot be said to constitute a breaking of silence.

Just had to let that one go. Thanks for listening.

Yeah the missus has followed the council's recommendations so far, a letter to neighbour, record the dates and times etc and then if still no resolution then contact them. I think its a waste of time, the council wont do sh*t.

Yeh i suspect youre right but also the whole process just to get council to action it is ridiculous too.

Just say they have a little rooster that crows a handful of times during the day and then they will send a full swat team of rangers
