Never pay more than 10% of the agreed value, I’ve been advised.
I concur, a bit stuck here as we needed a car at the height of covid and paid $10k for a car that the most we can insure for is $4500, with a comprehensive premium of $700 with a $1000 excess. Paying $700pa for a maximum payout of $3500 is bullshit, however her job requires that the car has full comprehensive.

Not happy Jan but what can you do? 🤷‍♂️

Doesn't s**t me as much as amuse me. Oscar Pistorius thinking of becoming a preacher.

"Sir, I'm just going to use the bathroom."
"God help you then..."

Faith plays a much stronger part in South African society than it does here, this will almost certainly be some weird Pentecostal branch of the church.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and all the other kids had adidas Romes but I had to have Harrison Tracers (2 stripes instead of 3) because we were too poor.

tldr; builds character
Did they have that thing back then where anyone with new shoes would get them stomped on as in 'christened'.

I'm about to lose my mind with my internet dropping in and out. I can't watch anything without it, everything comes through apps on my tv.

What an infuriating morning.

I walked to Preston market to buy exactly 3 things - strawberries, bread, and something for lunch.

Half way there, it starts pissing with rain.

There's only one of 3/4 fruit and veg place open today - everyone else is "taking a break" - which meant the place wasn't even jam-packed full from shoppers, just from their queues. And the strawberries were rotting and mouldy.

There's only one of 5/6 bakeries open today, and it's the one that does shit bread. And then I walked past another 5 or 6 bakeries on the way home that were all closed too.

And none of the places at the market that sell vegan food were open either.

What a bullshit outing
