I'm definitely a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to Christmas but I wouldn't want to stop others enjoying it if that's their thing. I'll probably spend Christmas day on my own this year. I've had a couple of invites but one's six hours drive away and the other one's with people I don't really like. I don't hate them but I just don't feel any connection with them.

I’m a big Christmas person but my family has had a tough year and they don’t really feel like celebrating. They’ve cancelled presents and just want to have lunch in the park.
It’s taken a bit of the shine off (although I understand their reasoning) so I’m just not as enthused about it this year.

Nope. Ex is taking them away to her boyfriends holiday house. Will try a little mini-Christmas with them on the weekend before. I'll still do something fun with my girlfriends family on the day but it won't be the same.

He's describing normal Greyhound behaviours as somehow being unusual or something to be pitied.
Blaming it on imaginary things made up in his head.
Don't get clubs changing the logo so often. An iconic brand (which I assume the AFL clubs want to be) doesn'tchange logos regularly...
The Lakers for example has changed, but barely & nothing significant since the 60's. AFL clubs are just full of senior staff needing to justify their positions

No, unlike the clueless opinion writer I have a lifetime of experience and knowledge of the breed.

I really dont see an issue with the article and yes i have experience with both the breed, the industry and animal welfare and rescue.
Greyhounds are trained to chase a lure (or hare or whatever depending on where youre from) and no, there is absolutely nothing natural about it at all. ALL dogs, greyhounds included have some instinctual behaviour that no amount of breeding and domestication can completely remove. Ex racing greyhounds have in the past had higher instances of attacks and because of their size and power can do alot of damage with them.
Ultimately the article isnt lambasting the breed at all, its kind of heart warming as i read it (and greyhounds, not renowned as overly social dogs).
If youre into or in the racing industry i suspect youd see any criticism of it as "wrong" but lets not pretend that baiting and abusive training practises arent still occurring (if not common place).
The logo is 10/10. Works on websites. Billboards. Merch. Brilliant.
The jumper is 1/10. 1 point for a darker red. But slapping on a logo, any logo - even a 10/10 logo-is shit.
It needs a hoop or a stripe or a yoke. Something anything.
Maybe seeing it in a game situation will change my mind but for now im split as i love the logo and branding but feel they focused on that and neglected jumper

Thats all pretty fair tbh. Its all a bit personally subjective but i like that the suns and giants have bucked the trend of traditional hoops/strips/yokes in favour of something a bit more modern.
You cant buy history and tradition so embrace that youre new.
I suspect if you manage to make and even win a final this year the new jumper will be embraced too.
