I do love the Carlton blackout jumper though so why don’t I like this one. Interesting.

Carlton have an identity though. It's a plain navy jumper with a CFC monogram on the front. So if they mix it up with clash jumpers and whatnot people still identify with the original.

Gold Coast's jumper has always just looked like a red training jumper. Sometimes they wear white or blue away and now it's pale yellow with some blue on it. The new logo is great but the jumper needed to be red and gold, not just red and a slightly darker shade of red. GWS have been around just as long and have a stronger brand. Bit of a modern day Hawthorn with colours that aren't everyone's first choice but are distinctive and there's a big G front and centre.

To your point GC doesnt have an identity. This jumper is about as identifiable as it gets, no one else looks like this so if youre going to rebrand, personal opinion about aesthetics aside, this nails the brief of creating an identity.

I’m a big Christmas person but my family has had a tough year and they don’t really feel like celebrating. They’ve cancelled presents and just want to have lunch in the park.

It’s taken a bit of the shine off (although I understand their reasoning) so I’m just not as enthused about it this year.

It's been a really tough year for so many. Cancelling presents might be a financial reason, it can add up. I say go, really enjoy the family time and get your Xmas spirit back up.

The gifts don't bother me except that it means that a couple of people in the family will literally get nothing. I'll still buy them things I think, or at least the kids can make presents.

We dont really know how it will look on TV right now.

The second point is the main one, no other team really looks like that.

The like/dislike of it is subjective, no arguments about that but i think as far as a rebrand wanting to make them immediately identifiable, it does that.

We had power outtages down here a couple of months ago. This week they sent me a cheque for $160 for the trouble. It was out for a fair while. Got cut by the weather about 7pm and didn't come back on until the next afternoon. I tossed the milk but that was about it. It was still winter so butter, cheese, frozen vegetables etc I just kept. $160 for a carton of milk was a good earn. Would suck in WA.

It’s funny cause most people want GWS to use their never surrender (charcoal) or orange tsunami jumpers full time and abandon the current home.

Both those jumpers are very very similar to the new red tsunami.

Great news indeed. Except we were moving out, our removal truck was in the driveway being packed, and the people moving in were due to arrive with their truck in 2-3 hours.

The young lady’s face fell. But she did manage to reschedule the reseal until later in the day.
