I agree with the caveat being dependent upon the circumstances ie the crime, history etc.
My main point is I don’t believe it’s race based.

Police in this country have a long history of being biased against kids from an indigenous/ethnic background.

Meanwhile they kept dropping the ball on the real dangerous thugs in our society over the years you know the Peter Dupas, Adrian Bayley types, Anglo Adult Serial Killers and Rapist types

I am not saying the Police Officers are ccollectively racist, I certainly think an argument can be made that accusations that several (not all, definitely not a majority) of them being corrupt and dumb as dog **** are justified.

I once dated a girl 20 years ago whose step dad was a retired Police officer who as on the beat for over 30 years who had damming words about Neil Comrie (a totally corrupt and contemptible bastard) and very kind and strong praise for Cynthia Nixon who did her very best to stamp out corruption in Victoria Police. She was never hated or publicly roasted by the Police Union or being a woman or supposedly being soft on crime, Nixon tried her best to weed out all the corrupt and criminal police officers in Victoria.

I personally think we need a lot more female and people from non Anglo-Saxon backgrounds in our Police forces.

The amount of Indigenous/Aboriginal deaths in custody (past and present) is our biggest national shame and embarrassment.

And yes our police force need to be held accountable for that

There used to be a young man's voice on Apple maps, we called him Tony. Due to DEI policy Tony has been replaced by a pleasant-sounding woman who we haven't yet given a name to. She often mispronounces street names, one I remember recently was Jimpy Terrace, for Gympie Terrace (Noosaville).
We went around Australia in 2010 and we called our Navigation lady voice Karen

Before Karen’s were a thing

First world problems but Woolworths is giving me the shits at the moment.

Every time I go in, the aisles are just full of workers picking the click and collect orders. Which fine, whatever. But the amount of times I've had them dive in front of me while I'm looking for something annoys the shit out of me. Why are customers that aren't in store being prioritised over ones who are? Then there's the trolley things they're packing all their orders in, which can be a nightmare to get around during busy periods.

I understand click and collect is helpful for people at times but it honestly drives me batty. I shouldn't have to fight past staff to shop there. They need to repurpose certain stores to only be click and collect/in store shopping.

They're always sour as shit as well.

My local doesn't just have the order pickers in every aisle but pallets/boxes and what not everywhere with staff refilling shelves. Some aisles like the fridges you can't get down with a trolley more often than not, it's ridiculous

As you said, why on earth would an online customer take preference over in store. When I worked in retail as a youngster we were told to let the phone ring out if customers were at the counter, I thought that was common sense. Customer service nowadays constantly devolves in different ways

Why it's taken so damn long for Alan Jones to finally be charged with sexual offences against under-age men/boys when a lot of us knew he was a paedophile/abuser against under-age children for a long time now ?

On a similar note what that toxic grub Kevin Spacey who was found guilty in a court of law of raping/securely assaulting young boys is seeming 'un-cancelled' and so called forgiven , despite the strong testimony of Star Trek's Anthony Rapp (an actor I admire a lot, one of the best characters on Star Trek Discovery)

This makes me really annoyed speaking as childhood/early teens survivor male sexual assault and rape

And I also feel the same amount of rage and empathy for women and girlswho don't get justice for their awful experiences of rape and or sexual assault.

Flogs like Alan Jones are no better than the likes of Rolf Harris. Hope his victims (over the decades) will finally be able to get measure of justice and peace of mind.

I still have nightmares and flashbacks of what I went through 30 something years ago. The trauma and the memories never go away.

Because the stores give guarantees about the time of pickup or delivery 🙁. There’s no incentive to assist you to do your shopping quickly. Quite the opposite; the longer you spend in the store, the more $$ you might spend.
