In the Adelaide CBD, a few days ago some absolute joker put up posters asking for GoFundMe donations for their small fluffy dog. The story goes that it was attacked by another dog and needs hip surgery, and that will cost about $20,000 to $40,000.

1. Get a grip.
2. Hurry up and put the poor dog out of its misery instead of spending that time typing up a poster and going to the city to put it up.
3. People out there can't afford groceries or are homeless, and you want $40,000 for your ****ing dog?
4. The campaigner will live for another fifteen years at best - is 40 grand really worth it? I've been in that situation before - you have to let go!
5. How do I know this story isn't made up?
6. Is that really what they charge these days for dog trauma surgery? If the poor bugger is that severely injured, keeping it alive is cruel.

Sad what happened to the doggie.
But asking for 40k .
Is a bit much ...

Something but not the same happened to one of my doggies.
Lost the feelings in his back legs couldn't walk, poos and wees just come out.
Body just gave way , even tho he seemed happy .
Used to crack jokes every day so he would smile ..
End of the story you have to make the hard call.

If anything I usually get accused of over explaining and engaging, first time I’ve ever had the opposite criticism.

As it seems to be unclear to some…

Per Billy Rays point, people are absolutely entitled to start a gofundme, for any reason and per MEBs point there are reasons I hadn’t really considered (loss of income, expensive funeral). My initial thought was more linked to the prevalence now of gofundme account for every single thing that happens in life and as an extension that it would be the absolute last thing I would think to do if I lost one of my children AND that if anything there is less financial burden following a lost child.

It was no shade to anyone who does it, it was no judgement on anyone who does it. It was simply my musings on a modern trend.

Ummm.
Decided To break the talk and order.

Ordered then he asked my name ...only him there every week.
Then next guy opens up the door ohhhh hi Tony .

The owner brought out my order and wished me and Mrs R a merry Christmas as I did to him.
The owner is great but he can't do everything.
