Exactly - as the human with access to a vet, you need to take on the responsibility of making the hard choice in your pet's best interest. I daresay most people have had sad incidents with their pets. It's a different kind of sadness to the death of a person.End of the story you have to make the hard call.
We’ve had to put down a few pets over the journey. All of them absolutely loved and heartbreaking decisions but there is a point where you’re not getting treatment for the betterment of the pet but to alleviate your own guilt about it.Sad what happened to the doggie.
But asking for 40k .
Is a bit much ...
Something but not the same happened to one of my doggies.
Lost the feelings in his back legs couldn't walk, poos and wees just come out.
Body just gave way , even tho he seemed happy .
Used to crack jokes every day so he would smile ..
End of the story you have to make the hard call.
100%
Unfortunately, while voluntary assisted dying is only being legalised now, you even get similar situations with people. When you're old and frail or likely to end up in a vegetative state, it's best to be kept comfortable rather than needlessly prolonging life. We’ve had to put down a few pets over the journey. My wife was recently diagnosed with adhd and misplacing things is very common because her brain was just constantly on the go. It’s been a massive game changer for her being diagnosed, she wished she’d got it done 40 years ago.I used to lose my keys all the time. All my friends and family are convinced I have undiagnosed ADHD. It’s actually really stressful, whenever I’d lose them I’d panic and get so upset with my stupid brain that doesn’t work properly.
The only thing that helped was finding an intuitive place to throw my keys everyday when I got home. For me that’s on top of the box where we keep our shoes. If they’re not there I’m completely ****ed, my brain just totally blanks on where they are.
Being told off over it only made it worse.
I lost 2 dogs in 7 weeks .
I was in the room both times..saying good bye.
I am a cat person person, but so sorry for your loss.
Pets (regardless of their species) always leave a profound and meaningful imprint in our lives and hearts, losing 2 in such a short span of time must have been devastating.
I am a fan of the colder months myself. As a non summer person this pleases me enormously.
I don't mind some Go Fund Me's, but I think the majority are ****ing ridiculous.
