Just moved into a new apartment as a renter. It's nbn ready, just need to plug in a modem and good to go with no other installation ... I just have to pay the $300 Nbn new building connection fee?? I've been told that if I have a nice landlord they 'should' pay it, but i don't understand how legally the tenant is obliged? It's not my property, and internet is pretty much a utility now

Uni lecturers who move through slides faster than I can take notes... most people are just taking photos of whatever is put up on the screen now but I feel I retain stuff much better if I actually write it down.

Do they make the slides available after? I used to find i'd retain it better if i just listened and took no notes and re-read the slides later on.

I once had a lecturer who didn't make the slides available, but did sell a textbook authored by himself which suspiciously contained all the content from the slides.

I never take notes in lectures, I find it doesn't really help with retaining information, and can in fact be distracting to be writing when the lecturer is talking. I prefer to sit and listen and review the slides a day or two later.

Was thinking about a move but WA is sadly too far:
Sydney = worse than Melb
Canberra= too boring
Hobart= too cold
Adelaide = they're all here anyway
Brisbane = Possible but would rather GC for the beach
