First I want to say gold star next to the team who wins this year, any that says * next to the team don't really care about football,
I hope we take the whole hub thing as a positive which looks like we might, teams might get worse and worse depending how they are going and we would be the best team in my mind to get really close to one another and work as a team through it! as for the rest they never come even close to what our team has been through and so far this year the opportunity is staring at me more and more into the face! Go bombers

The winner will have a *
Doesn't mean I don't care about football. It's just a fact and nothing anyone says will stop people from looking at it from that angle.

As for our chance at a flag, let's get a couple of Ws against other top 4 contenders first. If we can beat Geelong, GWS and Brisbane, or some pair out of those, I'll believe.

Living very dangerously when the word ‘flag’ is used on this board.

Our best is still below 4-5 other sides (Richmond, GWS, Collingwood, Western Bulldogs, Brisbane/Port) in it. A lot needs to go right to win one but in our case I think it’s going to be a few extra things too much.

I don't think we're good enough to win it. Collingwood, GWS, Geelong, Richmond, Brisbane, Port and West Coast are all ahead of us.

I just want to win a final, build some consistency and get some games into the likes of Daniher and Stewart. We'll get a better idea of where we're at once we play Geelong, GWS, Bulldogs, West Coast and Port. It's not unlike us to build consistency in chaos though.

It is literally the opposite of a fact. It's your opinion.

It is a big call but I believe we can do it, if we can keep getting wins without stringer and hepple and keep on fighting, as well as when Joe comes back and plays to the way we all know he can, along with our new game style this year which I am really liking what I'm seeing, plus the shorter season which is gotta be good! More than 1 third of the season has already been played and we are top 4 with one less game! I want to believe, the time might be now.

Heppell, Stringer, Daniher are too far away in a shortened season for us to be a chance. By the time they come back we will be middle of the road with all the wind taken out of our sails.

We're still playing at 70% at the moment, if we can find that next gear we'll be a real contender but at the moment we're getting it done. Plenty of improvement left in the forward line, get that firing and look out.

They all comeback before finals though

There was so many players last night that are clearly stepping up, I don't think any team is playing at a 100%

Rather, the premiership will have an asterisk next to 2020.

Richmond look as if there hay day could be over, collingwood have problems, westcoast are sooking, gws will probably be banked up with injuries, I don't rate geelong that high, Brisbane will be a danger and bulldogs are looking good but if we can beat them next week, here we come I say

If we beat the dogs next week without Heppell, Stringer, Daniher and Shiel then I will have some hope.

I think they are a class above us but I would love to be wrong.

That certainly helps but in the meantime we will likely lose games to Bulldogs, Cats, Giants etc without those three (particularly Stringer and Daniher).
I hope your wrong but right now I'm liking what our players are doing, honestly looking like they are giving it all, not like that season where we had the terrible start and still nearly made finals.

Yeah there is definitely a better system, lots more intent around the ball and much better overall feel of urgency about the team. If that can work against a couple of the better sides (Dogs, Giants, Port etc) then I am all in!!

I think we will be fired up because of the last 2 years against bulldogs especially last year which I was the last bloke to be in that stadium who barracks for essendon, even bulldog fans went home that night early

And we aren't going down the centre as much which we had to change mid last year but became to hard
