its starting to take its toll and this week the cats should regain, mooney, chapman,
the players in bold are ones whod step straight in i included swallow cos with the lack of run in the midfield id give him a go,

the one thing that is interesting is that a big injury list and boggle cant get back into the side.

Thommo's Melbourne form has been much better than his interstate showings, and he would be a huge loss against Geelong. We'll practically have no forward line in case he misses.

People on this board want him dropped anyway along with Grant, Thomas & Jones.

thats 4 out of our to 5 goal kickers they want out

Don't worry. You can't take those things seriously. People are just venting there anger for some bad efforts.

BTW, Thommo should play. I also hope Wells comes back in.

bring back brown
I know that Browny cops a fair bagging on this site, but the truth is, we don't have a 'link man' in our team...someone who takes the pass from the back half and directs traffic into the forward line. Simmo can't kick/Harris is a workhorse but kicks like a mule/Rawlings ditto. Brown has height, is a good handballer (standout in this team) and can KICK (long and goals). I would give him another go....there are some others who haven't put up their hands for about a month and that's too long when we are encouraging youth (J.Smith/Ross)

I hope your joking. I have never seen player miss so many targets by hand. That said, I think he should come back into the team this week. If Thommo doesn't play, bring in Josh Smith.

Gee i wonder why? they did only kick one goal on the weekend between them. I'm not saying drop them but you can understand people's frustration.

Yep, personally, I can well understand the frustration.

But what I can't understand is not taking two seconds to reflect on the big picture before spewing forth with these volleys of wisdom.

How did he hurt it walking off the ground at the end of the match???? Not that he was near the footy all night.

Fantastic.

Apparently he buggered his knee bending over to pick up all the balls getting kicked at his ankles.

If Thommo doesn't play, bring in Josh Smith.

If there is a desire to replace an injured Thommo with a big-bodied bloke pinch-hitting up Forward, please let it be Smith.

Besides, the missus reads Vogue and she assures me that Brown is not in this season.

Here in lay's our on field problem. With possibly 12 out/doutful due to injury the 22 out on the park don't feel pressure for position in team, there for they play with almost total position security. Not good chemistry for all especially "C" graders who don't need to fight/preform to keep spot in 22,unlike Cats every player is playing desperatly for a place in team.

Agreed. Your Missus knows all.

Problem with this team, and let it be said only a small one however... we just don't seem willing to drop established players who are massively out of form. I'm not talking 1 or 2 games, but there has been a bit of recent history over the last 4-5 years where players have been horribly out of form for massive swathes of the year yet retain their spot. Often this has been due to injury, it has done them and the team no favours in my opinion.

Sure, blame ya mrs for the vogue subscription that gets debited from your credit card each month....its always someones mrs!

Thommo will miss.
Which should bring Josh Smith into the mix, I would think.

Has to be Smith.
I am very interested to see him running out of the square by himself, because he was never going to work with Thommo in the team.
