I think it's worth embracing the rivalry, I want to beat every team in the competition, may as well start with them.Couldn't agree more. They are a mediocre club in a competition where we have 17 opponents.
I couldn't care less what they do or say. Actually I care about as much as I care about what a Melbourne supporter thinks.
You make it really easy for others to diagnose your myopia.
But doesn't ask you to do anything about it.doesn't need it.
the ad conveys the unity and pride that exists amongst the club and supporters, people will come to us wanting to be a part of that.
Great pointless answer that has no meaning towards the Convo although it is an anonymous social media websites, are you one of those cyber bullies boaky was talking about

I say your opinion is short sighted and I'm a bully?
Bahahahaha
Nice try.
For those questioning the reason behind having a tv ad without an explicitly stated purpose or the need for an ad when we've already maxed out our ticketed memberships, I would suggest doing some research into the concept of 'brand awareness'. You'll probably find the answers you're looking for.
HahahahahaNo you said you had diagnosed me myopia, either trying to be funny or a way of putting someone down, if you don't realise how cyber bullying works, you may want to investigate, it is what Boaky was talking about, you could call it cyber bullying or on these forums it's a case of keyboard warrior. But you make the choice!
Hahahahaha
You are a very peculiar person. You aggressively push the "grass roots" line wrt AO renegotiation. Very aggressively, on multiple boards. Then berate the club for the Dodee pick. But when your short sighted view about the advert is called out you retreat to the 'cyber bully' refuge.
Your opinion about the need for a powerful statement about our club in the media is the same Trigg mentality that held us back as a club. We need a strong presence on TV. Otherwise people question "where are the Crows" after seeing the Hinkley pep talk ads. Then the "we don't need an ad", resting on our laurels attitude pisses Crows fans off. A lack of presence on TV smacks of arrogance (not in a good way) or weakness for not standing up for our patch.
Sure. Do we lack brand awareness?
I thought our slogan was one of the most recognised?
I'm not tech savvy at all, but would it be possible at night games to project a murder of crows sweeping across the oval?I reckon this TVC is only half of it, I reckon there is something to do with this ad that they have planned for game day.
Would be cool if they had one of those long white runway tube tent things for the players to enter the field and projected the murder of crows flying at a high speed along it, from stadium to the field, as the projected birds get to the end of the tunnel the players run out.

Cheers, the thing is I couldn't give a stuff about pre-match entertainment. I go to the footy to hopefully watch my team win, not be entertained by other means.Grass makes a horrible projection medium, I don't think i've ever seen it done. It would need an incredibly powerful projector that would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, if such a thing exists.
Nice thought but I think the whole idea of a reserves game before the match is very old fashioned.Cheers, the thing is I couldn't give a stuff about pre-match entertainment. I go to the footy to hopefully watch my team win, not be entertained by other means.
My preference would be a reserves game, imagine how good that would be watching our youngsters play as well.
Why do people keep going to the Port board? Who gives a flying **** about Port? I'm sick of hearing about what's going down on their board.
Nice thought but I think the whole idea of a reserves game before the match is very old fashioned.
People struggle to put aside the time for a match. Introducing another match to watch would only attract those already going to the game in the first place.

You don't see Coke cutting their advertising budget.Sure. Do we lack brand awareness? I thought our slogan was one of the most recognised?
I still disagree. As an old dinosaur who can remember the pre crows era, reserves playing before the league game is fantastic. Even if you only see the last quarter or half, you get to see the form of the players pushing for selection live. Of all of the funding the afl hands out, I would like them to have the corresponding reserves game prior to the seniors game.
They can still fit in pre game entertainment in the break between the 2 games if that is important for the club.
As for the commercial I think it is very well done.
