Add into that, even if there is more than one competitor they get business through a “tender process” that results in private interests funnelling money to their buddies from certain schools. Merit selection is tokenism. Or the cheapest offering gets the gig so the biggest profits are made, you buy overpriced shit from an incredibly unprofessional service the go home to your new building to enjoy the flammable cladding
