What silly sausage would make a player watch thread about a player who keeps getting injured over the years, I'm outraged close thread it's a joke like my crystal ball predicted ;). Na just joking as we all love the sweeper, hope he has a great year of solid footy.
This made me laugh

I have him in the who do we trade for a big name bucket next year along with Fasolo, Blair, Goldsack, Toovey, MaCaffer, Maynard, Oxley & Ramsay,

Umm. No.
Maynard just signed an extension.
Ramsey is a key to our backline.
Fasolo is stepping up.
Caff is in the leadership group and getting up from an ACL.

No logic whatsoever.

Blair, Macaffer and Toovey are all free agents too, so if they're to leave it won't be via trade unless the other club is also losing a free agent and wants to minimise the effect on compensation.

Has nice skills and a good game but maybe not good enough. Bit of a make or break year. Don't have him in my best 22 but once injuries are considered will get games. Needs to establish himself when he gets his chances.

At the moment best as small forward with some midfield time. Trouble is at the moment he is behind Elliott, Fasolo, Howe, Blair, Aish and all the mid rotation. Up to him to push past some of these.

Dafuq? Leaves us with the med size fwd Howe and Elliott who is just as more injury prone.

There's also that issue about bananas...

LOL!

It seems I'm not the only person who wonders - when Broomy gets injured - could the injury have been prevented if he just friggen ate his bananas!?!?!

I bet Pendlebury eats his bananas! :)

Must resist... urge to make... sweeper role joke.....

Its a very important year for him,

He does look classy with ball in hand

Natural game seems up on a wing but, we just have too many ahead of him to get a decent run there

HF can be a tough slot and he seems to be out of the action for long periods, which can happen you young guys playing the forward flanks.

Can't see him getting enough time up across the midfield given the options we have across there

Not sure he can be damaging enough on a half forward flank

As I said, important and challenging year ahead for the Broom.

I agree that he has class but just looks too small.

I want Broomy to succeed as a player because he is exactly what we need in the side. He's got that little bit of X factor that we lack sometimes. He just hasn't put on any size because of his dietary habits (was said in an interview he didn't eat vegetables) and I think it's severely hurting his chances because the boy can play.

I just don't think he'll make it at Collingwood. Contract is up this year, and if he's still not best 22 after four seasons, we should probably offload him.
I'm tipping he won't be leaving with Collingwood having the main say with that
