All this talk of trading up with Hawthorn, and no-one seems to have raised the fact that they're our arch-rivals, lol. Why would Hawthorn want to give West Coast picks to HELP Geelong. That would be like Carlton giving another club picks to help Essendon/Collingwood, or Adelaide giving another club picks to help Port Adelaide. Just doesn't happen.

Freo have Luke Jackson training with them recently and Robertson would be a big chance , if Kelly doesn't want to go to Freo then they would be better off going to the draft , Jackson and Robertson would be handy pickups .
Then he may get to pick 14 if Kelly is prepared to go to the draft he will next year aswell making him a one year first round draft pick no club will want that

Eagles could obtain Hawks pick 11 for our 2 2nd rounders which goes to F/S bid.

Pick 11 and 14 would get it done hell Adelaide might be interested to even trade pick 3 as they need to get players on the list due to everyone bailing and by doing so would get back at Geelong for shafting them with Dangerfield....
Umm no way will pick 4 go for those two picks we have never had a pick below 7 we lack the opportunity for top end talent this will be a puck we have never had apart from trading for them and guess what we traded for this one aswell

Its more about helping us. We released Sam Mitchell from his contract for nothing. Would you expect Geelong to do the same for Hawthorn with one of your assistants? We just did a favor to both Sam for his hard work and Hawthorn because we are not pereennial flogs like some other clubs.

Its fairly likely Hawthorn might have seen this and decided they would help us back? You know, professional relationshiips? Do we know that terminology at Geelong?

They have a F/S who apparently dominated the combine. Finn McGinness. Debatable that he’s top 10 but could attract an early bid

They must know he is going to attract a top 10 bid. Other clubs would tell them obviously to garner whether they will match. The idea clubs bid just randomly and surprise the opposition is crap

How about this cats fans.

West coast gives pick 14 & 22 to Collingwood for Grundy

We tell cats to get ****ed

Kelly tells cats to get ****ed

All clubs honour Kelly's wishes and overlook him in the psd and we get him for pick 14

West coast win three flags in a row and Geelong get to ead.

Haha

No they dont. No one is going to trade you 5 for 14 24 and your FR1 unleas they are stupid.

That trade you've listed gives a pick value of 14. The ones who doesn't want it are the stupid ones.

Adelaide would take it if they're eyeing Lukosius next year.

Fair enough this draft is a strange one though outside Rowell and Anderson its pretty even.

Careful, your whole bigfooty career hinges on this trade given your previous posts. I'd be using more than 'might' to justify your position.

Im using might for others benefit. A large part of the deal is done. The niceties now exist around how Eagles get back into this years draft and how Geelong help faciliate that and too what extent. ie. small details

Nice - except we already gave pick 14 to Collingwood.

If you need to move to another place for a particular reason and get offered a range of employment contracts from up to ten different employers in that particular place, some are high profile companies with a lot of resources, some have great cultures, some have a history of scandal and financial collapse, some have great reputations for looking after their employees, some want to pay you a lot of money and some want to give you a one year contract on minimum wage, while others have no interest in employing you, then of course you're going to choose the one that suits you best.

The location might be limited by a deeply personal family issue, but the choice of employer isn't, and many other factors need to be weighed up, including but not limited to the ability of that club to do a deal with your current club.

It's the same for Tim Kelly and West Coast. West Coast might be his preferred destination but you would think that if West Coast weren't interested or couldn't do a deal for whatever reason (say they're hit with massive draft sanctions and have no picks at all or whatever), then he'd most likely take Fremantle over staying in Victoria... assuming playing for Fremantle isn't actually career ending, life endangering, or some other heinous thing that makes staying at Geelong more palatable.
OK? but the fact is we do have enough picks to get it done, whats your point?

School holidays are almost over and you will have the right to educate yourself, kids and their dreams

No one knows the draft and players it's all about how good you are at identifying the talent in it will rowell or Anderson be the best or will it be like the following draft years where 1 and 2 simply aren't

Fyfe
Danger
T Mitchell
Dusty
Buddy
Pendelbury
Bonts
T Kelly
R gray

The list continues, it's up to the recruitment manager to identify this talent, Rendell was ours when he grabbed danger

An aging list?

They have a couple of over 30's in Hurn and Kennedy.

We have brought in a swag of kids plus 22 years olds over the last few drafts. Also been developing the likes of Watson, Rotham, Allan, Brander, Waterman, Cole, Cameron, Williams etc over the last three.

It’s not the age, it’s the quality...Hurn & Kennedy are elite.

Kelly if he can adjust to the very different style of football he’ll have to play - sets you up for a real crack (another) at the flag.

I don't know where to start on this. The part where you somehow acquire Grundy for Pick 14 and 22...the part where you somehow magically get your Pick 14 back...or the part where apparently all clubs 'conspire' together to adhere to one club and one player's wishes.

I think I'll just let this one through to the keeper.

I agree and as they say you can't get blood out of a stone wells has admitted players won't be involved

So it's all about what west coast have

By swapping picks to other clubs us irrelevant, they can give those picks to Geelong and Geelong can do that, it doesn't change the currency

Just be aware that many people have seen your post, and you will be held to it by your own supporters - especially those you riled up.

Yes why two first rounds picks could be a benefit this draft over just one high pick..........
