What about Membrey and Stringer just swap clubs. A change of environment could be good for both.

Bit staggered by the lack of interest in him. Fine player. Would love him at Collingwood, granted he'd likely only be depth for us. Given how many games McStay, Mihocek and Elliott missed between them this year, it's likely he'd play plenty of games and be able to make a case for best 23 anyway.
Just goes to show how highly the clubs rate this draft, and how much they’re valuing list spots, so that they can fill them from the draft.
Tomlinson is another that I’m pretty stunned hasn’t been picked up. He looked pretty much every bit as good as Battle against us earlier in the year, and would be a great depth option for clubs like yours or mine, after losing Murphy and Battle.
Also found it quite baffling how North went for Darling over Tim. Two years older and kicked just 22 goals (from 21 games) this year, to Skunks 30 from 19.
I think Melbourne is the best fit for Membrey. Clear upgrade on Melksham and McAdam, good support for van Rooyen and Turner, and they can throw Petty back where he belongs.
Melbourne has been the best fit for him this entire time, but for some reason they don't see it.

Really good get for Collingwood. I've always rated Membrey and think he can have a significant impact over the next couple of years.
Strange decision my Saints to delist as its not like they have a stack of forwards.
We do actually have a pretty significant number, hence this decision.
All of the following would either be considered best 23, or at worst, someone that we wouldn’t want to have rotting away in the VFL next year:
Marking targets:
King
Caminiti
Sharman
Owens
Small or high half forwards:
Higgins
Hill
Henry
Butler
So that’s 8 that all-things-being-equal I would fully expect to be in the senior team in R1 next year, with 4 of them being marking targets. Then there’s 193cm Mason Wood, who can also play that role, when he’s not on the wing, and Phillipou may push forward.
So it makes sense that we’re prioritising the younger guys going forward.

Not sure if would call Owen a key forward, but he's a bloody good player.
That's a paper thin list of key forwards imo.
In comparison we have
Thilthorpe
Fogarty
Walker
Owens plays pretty much the exact same roles that Membrey plays. They averaged the same number of contested marks per game. And Sharman was playing at a similar level to Membrey in the back-end of the year, including a 10 coaches vote game.
He’s now at that age and number of games that we’d hope he really entrenches himself in the team.
So that’s two 190cm+ marking targets, to compliment Max, and the plan would definitely be for Caminiti to either be the 3rd, or if that’s too much, to replace Battle down back.
He’s tracking perfectly well for a 196cm 20yo, who’s done 1 and a third AFL preseasons.
As you can see when comparing his numbers to no.1 draft pick Aaron Cadman, who’s just 3 months younger than him, and has likewise been in the AFL for two seasons. Particularly notable is the contested marks, where Caminiti averaged triple what Cadman did.

I think Caminiti is underestimated, solely because of how we got him. If everything about him was the same, but he’d been taken at say pick 12, most would be very optimistic about him, IMO.
