He'll go back eventually, so will Hunt when his contract goes. Mediocrity in a foreign sport or glory in the one you love?

I don't care if you're Micheal Jordan or lebron James, if you don't like the sport you're playing or your heart isn't in it 100% you'll never make it, we all know Izzy crossed over for the $, he has to ask himself the question.
I guess this means you have little need for Patton and Cameron who has kicked 22 goals in his first season.Bob,
There has been very little clean ball going into the GWS' forward line.
Folau would be playing for The Northern Blues in the VFL Development League with Blake Bray who is from NSW.Could he play for a club with a better mid field? Say Carlton?

You'd be better off with Bret Thornton and O'hAilpin filling in whilst these two and possibly Adam Tomlinson develop into forwards.

I realise any thread with GWS *and* Izzy in it is two loads of lies, bullshit and misinformation ... but no his pay isnt under the cap.
Watch this tape. Nice creation of space, good mark and the correct option and a beautifully weighted kick. Then freeze the tape at 1.05. do a jumper count and see what happens next.
Brett15,
Hunt looked awful a lot of the time last year, and his odd good play was written off as "lucky" by flogs like Donakebab.
He's a KPF in his first year in the big time. He's tracking along just fine.
Let's see how Izzy is going this time next season.
I agree, Karmichael Hunt was pretty ordinary in his first year and was copping the same criticism but is now a decent AFL player that has earnt his spot in the Gold Coast team.
I think Folau at least deserves one more season to see how he goes before people write him off. He has shown glimpses of talent at AFL level so with another year under his belt he might also become a decent player.
I doubt he will ever become a better AFL player than he was a rugby league player though.
I reckon he'd fare much better if like Hunt he was able to follow an opponent in the back half and play defensively. Playing CHF is an absurdly tough gig and for people to expect him to even be decent in his first season is ludicrous.Wouldnt say Hunt is a decent player although he is better than he was last year but he still would struggle to get a game in any other AFL side. Folau is a bigger bloke who has been asked to play CHF which is one of the hardest positions to play but he has no idea of how to play the role and i cant see him getting any better.

If by 'nice creation of space' you mean 'he just stands there' and by 'good mark' you mean 'uncontested chest mark', I fully understand you. Kick was nice.
Then at 1.05 the Adelaide player throws the ball to him, and he grubs the handball. I suppose you could say it was Izzy's intimidation that caused the error.
Don't take my tearing apart the video/comment to mean I don't think he's any good - I have actually seen him do some really good things; I just don't think your video is the best example.
might pay to throw him in the rack
Have we become so fickle as supporters of the game that we right guys off before they even play 10 games?
