2025 has a shitload of academy and f/s kids, its way more compromised than this years draft. Its also a weaker draft in general, this years draft seems to be relatively strong

We have 2026 and 2027 picks to chase Warner if we need

It is pretty humorous since a few of us predicted that the clubs were likely going to work together to get a better outcome prior to trade period even starting. We are surly not as well informed as journos, I know I'm not. I guess they are just slower at reading the tea leaves.

After the initial surprise, I think the pick swap makes a lot of sense.

West Coast have F/S / Academy players next year. so extra points will help.
Richmond will have a bucketload of picks this year so it makes sense to spread them out.
Hawthorn now have one extra pick overall, and two extras for next year.

So I expect a trade will now get done that will satisfy all three clubs.
