At this point, it does seem likely that the clubs are just a way apart in their valuation of him, and it would be better for Barrass to be shopped to other clubs in Melbourne if he wants to leave. Saints pick 8 would get it done.

Mate if you were as committed in the Baker thread over last few days, maybe you could have convinced Tigers list management to settle for less than 14.

Now if you can use your charm on the Suns and persuade them of below deal, you can get your 2 F1's. Pls don't behave like earlier if Hawks do well in a trade, just focus on if Eagles are doing well and if so, take it and run.

Suns need points for this year and the next , so should be interested in below 3-way trade that also helps Eagles save face..

We committed to barrass with a 5 year contract when he signed, just like baker.

That’s ridiculous your language is like a relationship. We met with him and agreed on what the terms of an offer would be to come to hawthorn that he agreed to, now we are offering our valuation to the eagles. A future first and second is fair value for Barrass many of you have said so yourselves as the only haggle was over the f3 coming back. The deal won’t fall over for that we are historically fair to deal with the deal gets done.

Hawks traded in Lake and Gibson, who with all due respect are better players than Barass, both times with a second round pick.

Barrass is not worth a first round pick. He's 30 next year, and has injury and continuity concerns.

Pick 14 is, was, already too much for a 30 year old that wants out, as we saw with the Houston deal, a player who's 2.5 years younger and one of the best players in the comp, but obviously wanted to leave, so their values decreases.

The Eagles strategy is to overvalue their player, thinking Hawthorn will meet halfway and offer a first round pick, which of course, looked good back in July when Hawks were out of the 8.
