If he were to be traded, what would Hawthorn get in return?

  • Two good 1st round picks

  • Top 10 pick and change

  • A 1st & a 2nd

  • Later 1st round pick

  • Two 2nd rounders

  • Early 2nd rounder

  • Other 2nd round pick

  • Less than a 2nd rounder

Dominic is obsessed with Tom it seems having read back through the thread alittle.

You are right. It's best case is closed for Domenic's wellbeing.
Tf my name is right here and you misspell it, on purpose? if so i don't get it.

I'm just wanting what we deserve for a player of Titch's calibre and i don't like people underrating him as much as you did.

What would you give up for a 29 yo ball accumulator Punts? Bearing in mind his best is behind him.
He won't have a better year than his Brownlow year. He is part of a midfield group that hasn't won a final since he's been there.
Coaches of contending teams choose not to tag him. Dare I go on.
So my question is what would teams be prepared to give up for him at this stage of his career? What would a contender like Geelong give up for him. It won't be what we all think he may be worth. It will be what a club is prepared to give up for him. I'm not talking Gold Coast either. A club that is close to a flag.

A pick in the 20's will get it done but Hawks will be chasing more so he will stay. Nothing crap about that but let's sit back & watch.
Embarrassing post.

Wonder if the swans supporters would be happy to trade us luke Parker for a pick in the 20’s? Same age as mitchell, not quite on the same level as a player so I’m probably being abit generous with the pick

Parker is a year older but Sydney just won 15 games with a pretty young team so aren't tossing around the idea of trading experienced players with currency for picks so it's a moot point.

They were pretty reasonable in trading away Mitchell, Hannebery, Rohan, Jetta, Nic Newman, Zak Jones etc.

It's a long shot Mitchell is traded. Teams with early picks have early picks for a reason and don't want a guy that turns 29 next year. Teams that do want him don't have/aren't willing to part with assets that appeal to Hawthorn. If he was out of contract (wouldn't be a free agent) I think a few teams would be sniffing around.

It'd be 15 + 17 for Titch. even then that's a stretch as they are back back end of round 1. A pick 7 and 2nd rounder for Titch would be good. Just nothing get sent back :D

Yeah I'd be going to the draft. Doubt the club will trade 7 for anything.

I hope Sicily comes back with form, now there's a guy I'd want to target.

Sicily probably isn't up for trade purely because he's a star and hes not that old. If he comes back with form we could see a Hawks rocket rise.

Cam Luke suggests Freo as an option.

Sounds like that’s out of no where. He playedU’18’s for WA didn’t he?
Yep. He lived there as a youngster.

Tom Mitchell to Freo makes little sense for club or player. If he was from Perth maybe (rather than just spending 2 or 3 years here as a junior). Likewise if he was 23 a he was when he left the Swans he would suit the Freo timeline a lot more.
Also don't think he's what we need in our midfield, we're not really looking for an accumulator

It was just another journo giving an opinion on what he’d like to see, like we give a shit.

They were not ready to go all in on bringing Neale back because of his age, why would they bring back a similar type of player that is almost the same age?

Literally just because they now have cap space and a ton of picks.

I think a team like Port or maybe Brisbane could really use Mitchell, but I don't think either have the salary cap space.

Amazing how these things take off.

Some low level journo speculates Mitchell be a good fit out West......next a journo states that a deal would be hard to achieve.....which will become Freo and Hawthorn are far apart in their valuation of Freo target Tom Mitchell....and then it looks like the deal between Freo and Hawthorn won't get over the line.

All the while Fremantle have no interest in Mitchell.

Ah trade week, wouldn't miss it for the World.
