adkins

Rowan Jones

McDougall

Lynch

that probably would be our bottom 5.

All of them are handy though. Adkins has been pretty lively when played off the bench as a burst player or on a HFF , just doesn't get a lot of opportunities. That might change with Fido gone though. Jones doesn't get much opportunities either anymore but delivered the goods when given a shot later in the year and is a capable AFL player. Wooden's servicable as a run with player when playing at home, Lynch is a spare parts man, playing where ever we have injuries and McDougall is chronically injured.

Handy depth players who could all spend time a bit of time in our best 22 next season (be it off the bench) if they get their bodies right and are given early opportunities where they perform.

We got rid of the last of our real 'dead wood' with Humm and Beeck.

Top 5 worst players from your club:

1. James Begley
2. Kris Massie
3. Micheal Doughty
4. Luke Jericho
5. Matthew Clarke

1. GOOOONE
2. Good form in the SANFL but useless even as a fringe player at AFL standard
3. Well skilled player with no heart can do an adequete job as a back flanker on the opponents worst attacker
4. Harsh unlucky with the good run of injuries last year not to play more footy got bored playing in the forward line at westies played some good games in the midfield for them as well, imo leads hard and has good hands with good ground ability and speed, with a more realistic injury run will play a lot more footy for the crows next year
5. That is harsh clarke played extremely well at the end of the season after hudson went down coming to the end of a stella carrer, played as well as he could under ayersie with a useless ruck coach (micken) who has the iq of a postage stamp, when he came off the ball against the saints in the finals we lost all momentum with macleod being unable to snag posession at the dead balls with biglands in the ruck, coming to the end of his carrer with retirement at the end of this year but will try his guts out until hudson boots him when he returns

imo gotta be

1. Kris Massie - as above
2. Scott Stevens - Lucky to still have a contract 13 games in 2 years with no real impact
3. Brett Burton - Ball hogg, very selfish with tunnel vision and CONSTANTLY tries to do too much, most overrated (and infuriating) player at the club
4. Michael Doughty - As above (will never win a game for you)
5. Matthew Bode - Injury riddled season needs a solid year to retain a contract, great player but i feel his best may be behind him

btw perrie would have definately made this list 9 months ago however his form in the last 2 months of the season was outstanding i hope to see more of the same

Cameron Cloke > Maxwell. Atleast he doesnt get smashed in every contest because he is a little pipsqueak.

Sorry? Maxwell does not always get smashed, and for a guy who lacks weight, he holds his own in contests. Gives his all.

eddiesmith said:
J.Cloke > Maxwell. Like Cameron, he aint going to get smashed in every contest like Maxwell does and doesnt concede 4 goals in 5 minutes.

Maxwell has never conceeded that amount of goals in that mentioned time. The guy is an honest goer, and gives his all. Physically undersized in weight, he is going ok. Will end up the third tall defender, and do a very good job at it. Might be drawing a long bow, but Maxwell looks a bit like Leo Barry at a similar age.

I know you like the Clokes - I do, too - but Maxwell is probably ahead of Jason, and definitely ahead of Cameron.

Davis, Morrison, Egan and Swan are also all better than Maxwell with ease

Swan was equal, I believe. Davis below, Morrison...hard to rate his year - while Egan lacked consistancy but displayed his potential.

Fair call. I was at that match - he was eaten alive by Scotty Lucas. But you are pretty harsh on him, to be honest. Has been quite a good pick-up, considering he was rookie listed at the beginning of 2004.

Absoloute crap.

At this stage i would rate Maxwell over j-Clo and cameron cloke. Maxwell is more versatile and can play on talls and smalls and can pinch hit up forward as well.

Stupid thread... Seriously...

These guys have all made it to an AFL list, and you would take any one of them at your local clubs.. Take the above for an example.

A developing ruckman, a couple of midfielders... Are any of these players over the age of 22???? These kids that are mentioned in most of the responses are development players who can only benefit...

If they were that bad wouldn't they be delisted and replaced with Woewodin or Cupido or such....?

Add this to the "Top 5 worst threads posted"

Until recently, this was easy....

1. Patrick Bowden
2. Jade Rawlings
3. Daniel Bandy
4. Ben Harrison
5. Steven Koops

Now that the above list are former Bulldogs, the choice is considerably harder.
My problem with these lists are people are listing people they think are our worst players but who are definitely wrong. Harrison for example was making our 25 nearly every week hence is better than atleast a few similar players on our list who werent getting even thought of as an option to get a game. In my opinion a player who never looked like getting a game like Iszaac Thompson was the worst layer on the list cos he was no where near getting a game. bandy, Rawlings and Bowden atleast had a small chance of getting a game and Bandy probably would have if not for injuries. Also Koops had serious injury issues.

Maxwell gets smashed by talls, run around by smalls and is average up forward. He needs a lot more development

Atleast Jason can beat a tall, strong opponent in 1 on 1 contests

What tall strong opponent has Jason Cloke beaten ? Perhaps Aaron Hamill (which tells me more about how over rated Hamill is) but Hammil aint that tall.

At this stage in their careers i would take Maxwell anyday. He has been likened to a future perhaps not as good Jimmy Clement. Who has JClo been likened to??

Interesting one, JLC. I can't recall anyone.

Eddie, would you say that Maxwell is ahead of Jason Cloke? Or vice-versa?

1. Henneman (Dud..)
2. Johns (Never fully recovered from his hip injury)
3. Bolton (Shown glimpes but not enough to keep his spot)
4. Reynolds (Talent there, just hasnt shown enough)
5. Cartledge (Not alot of opportunity)

No real problems with the players mentioned, just with a couple of the comments. In regards to Johns he's been fully recovered since mid last year. Just hasn't had no fitness base behind him whatsoever, he's completing every session at the moment so it will be time for him to find something if he can. Reynolds I would have thought the lack of talent and physical size was the issue. Cartledge hasn't really deserved many opps.
